It was history class, Miss Bliss was talking about wars, Nikki brought up how if it wasn't for men, we wouldn't have had them, I completely disagreed, we're bound to have wars, we have them everyday.
"Not so fast, your term papers are due Friday, make sure you turn them in." Miss bliss had told us. Then we packed up and left.
Lisa was reading us a 'love letter'.
"The moment our eyes met, across the crowded room, I knew our fates were sealed as well."
"For what?" Nikki asked.
"I don't know, there's a period."
"Come on, don't stop, not even for commas." Lisa continued.
"Wow! Who do you think it could be?" Lisa asked us. I knew it could be Screech, or some other boy.
"Maybe one of our friends?" I asked.
"Zack? Mikey? Screech!" Nikki asked. I kinda got red when she mentioned Mikey.
"Zack? He is cute. Caring, sweet. But too wild."
"Mikey?" Nikki said.
"Cute, caring, responsible, great friend. But I don't know, I think he'd like someone else. And he's not my type." I almost sighed out of relief. Crazy I know.
"Screech?" I asked.
"NO! Not in a million years!" I giggled. Lisa would definitely like him one day.
"Sure Lis." I told her. (Lees- how it sounds)
"Lis? I like that. But only we can say it to each other. Deal?"
"But we have to make each other's nicknames." Nikki said.
"Lis, Niks, cloe?" I suggested. (Lees, Nicks, clow- glow just with a c.)
"I like it. It's really.... us." Lisa smiled.
"So who do you think it is?" I asked.
"I don't know, but I doubt it's our friends." Lisa said.
"Guess we'll know soon." Nikki said. It was quiet for a little.
"So cloe, what were you and Mikey talking about?" Lisa asked, moving her eyebrows up and down.
"Oh nothing important," I said nervously.
"Oh, look, it's the guys." Nikki pointed out.
"Hey guys! Over here!" Lisa waved. They came over to us. Nikki in front of Zack, Screech next to Lisa, and Mikey next to me.
"Hey Zack. Hey Screech. Hi Mikes." Zack and Screech greeted me and the girls normally. Mikey said it differently.
"Hey Lisa, Nikki, hi nana." Mikey told me.
"Mikes? Nana?" Everyone said in unison, besides me and Mikey.
"Yes, he's Mikes, I'm Nana. He calls me Nana, I call him Mikes." I said somewhat confident.
"So y'all only call each other that?" Nikki asked.
"Yeah?" Mikey said unsure. Lisa and Nikki gave each other a look. Soon I was being pulled.
"What are y'all doing?" I asked.
"What's going on between you two?" Lisa asked.
"Nothing! Can't friends give each other nicknames?" They looked at each other, like before.
"No! You don't with Zack and Screech!" Lisa said.
"Look nothing is going on. I've told you that."
