[A/N]- This oneshot is based on I Hear a Symphony by Cody Fry, would definitely recommend giving it a listen as you read. This oneshot is rather long, in order to compensate for not updating for a long while. Enjoy!

I used to hear a simple song

In the quaint town of Burgess, Pennsylvania was a boy of the age of twelve. He wasn't anyone special in particular. With brown hair and brown eyes, he was just a humble shepherd trying to get by. His family wasn't that special either, only a regular run of the mill family.

It wasn't everyday that something caused a commotion. Each day was rather mundane. Wake up, chores, free time, eat, and repeat. The boy always tried to spice up his life through pranks and jokes. However that always landed him into trouble. That didn't stop him though.

That was, until you came along.

Three years pass by and the brunette was now the age of fifteen. Not much has changed about the boy, only his looks. His face matured, leaving him with a charming smile, chiseled jaw, and slender figure.

It was a regular day in the field. The same dewy grass and the same herd of sheep. The boy was basking in the sun, the warmth of the sun's rays dancing on the boy's face. A gentle breeze waltzes by as the faint calls of the brunette's father grasped his attention.

"Jack!" the man called from afar, "Come along son!"

"Coming dad!!!" Jack yelled back, leading the herd of sheep back into the pasture.

The two men walked to town with curiosity. They had heard through the grapevine that someone new from Massachusetts was arriving.

Now in its place is something new

Meanwhile, a girl with chestnut hair and eyes of jade resided in a carriage along with her family, watching the scenery whilst the joyful songs of birds were sung. Nervousness crept up her spine as the coachman announced their arrival.

"Here it is, Burgess, Pennsylvania. You folks have a good one." said the coachman as he unloaded the last of her possessions.

Grabbing all their belongings, the girl and her family made their way to their new home. As they were on their merry way, they received many stares, and seeing that they were folks from Salem didn't help either.
