Part 13

-Flashback of 5 years ago-

"LEAVE ME!" Taehyung's mother shouted as the police dragged her to the detention centre.

"I didn't do anything! Really!" She pleaded.

"How dare you come inside North despite being from the capital? Now pay for your deeds!" The police said kicking her on the stomach making her cough blood.

"That's not a sin. I was sent here forcefully! I didn't do anything!" She pleaded in that miserable state. 

But her voice was deafened. No matter how much she cried, pleaded, the world didn't listen to her. Her voice was considered invisible. All that she had was darkness.

-Present time-

"We don't know the whole story but there has been rumors that she was tormented alot in the detention centre. Some even said her skin was peele-" Jungkook was bout to speak as Jin shushed him.

Taehyung started crying as you quickly went towards him and tried comforting him as Jimin patted his shoulders.

"In all these years of being a soldier, I never saw a case like hers." Yoongi said.

"You all are soldiers?" Taehyung asked while crying.

"Yes." Jin answered.

"THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE HER? WHY?" He shouted holding Jin by his collar as Namjoon and Hoseok tried freeing him. 

"It isn't in our hands. It depends on the police. We might be soldiers but we were in no position to save her at that time without knowing the whole story." Jin said.

"Don't worry. We will save her. We still have time." Namjoon said.

----- 6 p.m

"How are you soldiers if you are so chaotic?" Taehyung asked.

"Well. Our work is on one side and our life is on the other although our work can risk our lives. And moreover, we never know when ours lives might end so we enjoy it to the most we can." Hoseok said as everyone nodded.

"But you will die anyways. Then what's the use of living life that way?" Taehyung said as you stopped cutting watermelons and looked at him confused.

"That's the reason we must enjoy life. We never know when this beautiful moment will end and we don't want to regret after dying about all the things we could do when we were alive." He said as Taehyung looked at them like a little child learning new things.

"Have some watermelon now! Enough of this serious discussion. Let's not get depressed." You said as they nodded.

"Don't worry hyung. We might be soldiers but if your mother is innocent, we will definitely save her even if it costs us our life." Jungkook said.

"Since when did you become so mature?" Jimin asked as Jungkook smiled proudly.

"He is definitely biased." Yoongi spoke chewing on his watermelon.

'Here!" You said giving a bowl of watermelon to Taehyung. He just looked at you before taking the bowl. 

You smiled at him although, on the inside, you felt bad for him. You felt as if his life was just too unfair, to begin with.

-At night- 

"What are you guys doing here?" Taehyung asked Jungkook and Jimin who were rolling on his bed.

"Well we don't have enough room for us so we have to share with you!" Jimin said cutely smiling as Taehyung sighed.

"I thought I could sleep peacefully." He mumbled just to earn some chuckles from the two monkeys jumping on the bed. 

-----3 a.m

Taehyung snuck out of his room when everyone was asleep. He made his way to the balcony sitting quietly as he took out the photo frame.

"Sorry, mother. I forgot about you being in this chaotic house. I hope you are safe wherever you are, I will save you soon." He said caressing the photo frame.

"KIM NAMJOON! COME OUT!" Suddenly he heard a scream as he sighed.

"These people and this house." He mumbled going out.

"KIM NAMJOON HOW DARE YOU?" Jin screamed as everyone was scared including Namjoon who just woke up from his sleep.

"What happened?" Taehyung asked coming here.

"HE ATE MY COOKIES!" Jin screamed as Taehyung looked at him confused.

"When?" You asked.

"Just now.. we were in a big kitchen and he ate my cookies and I was chasing him then I.. WAIT WHY AM I HERE?" He screamed again making everyone puzzled.

"Were you dreaming?" You asked.

"Oh.. was it a dream?" He mumbled to himself.

"Exactly hyung! I never ate any cookies from you." Namjoon said in his sleepy tone.

"Oh sorry then." He said.

"HOW CAN YOU JUST SAY A SORRY FOR RUINING OUR PRECIOUS SLEEP?" Jungkook shouted as Jin thought for a while.

"Then do you all want me to tell you all a joke to compensate this?" He asked.

"I forgive you. Goodnight." Namjoon said walking straight to his room while Yoongi and Hoseok quietly went back.

"Your sorry is enough hyung. We can't disrespect you like that." Jungkook said as Jimin nodded while they went back to bed.
