Luigi stumbled into the room and Jr quickly locked the door.
"Thanks for dragging me to your room" Luigi said.
"Your welcome, now, do you like to wrestle?" The smirk was replaced with an evil smile. Luigi eyes widened and he unlocked the door and began running away from Jr who was now chasing the man across the castle. Luigi soon found himself getting tired and Jr used this to his advantage, jumping onto Luigi's back causing the both to stumble and roll across the red carpet. They rolled in front of a confused Bowser the two looked up and burst into a fit of laughter.
"Fun, now I have to deal with two kids" the King mumbled. That only caused the two to laugh even harder. It was only when the two stood up was able to admire Luigi's outfit more. It was fitting for him.
Bowser motioned for the two to follow and they did just that as to not annoy the King even more. They made it to the dining room and the first thing they notice is Princess Peach sitting at the table with her arms crossed. The two sit beside each other and gossip, it took Bowser's death stare to shut the two up.
"How are you liking your food Princess?" the princess faced the other way and ignored him. Bowser's face slipped and a frown was plastered on his muzzle.
"Well I like it, did you cook it yourself?" Luigi says, attempting to cheer him up. Luckily it worked and Bowser smiled but that smile quickly faltered when Mario burst through the dining room doors. Luigi fell back in the chair at the sudden appearance of the red man, Bowser Jr. helped Luigi up as everyone else stared at him dramatic response to the entrance. The attention shift made Luigi lower himself back under the table as to not embarrass himself further. Only one person was excited to see the red hero.
"Mario!" she ran into his arms almost knocking Mario over. Luigi peeked his head over the table to look at Bowser, the king was emotionless. Mario noticed this and used it to his advantage.
"Come on Luigi" the red hero said, Luigi knew Mario wasn't in the mood to argue. Luck was on his side though because Bowser Jr jumped in front of Luigi stopping him from leaving.
"He's not going anywhere!" the prince yelled. Mario stood there stumped before walking up to Luigi and dragging him by the arm. He had two choices; leave or stay.
He picked the ladder.
He pulled his arm out of his brother's grip and took a step back. The two stared at each other before Mario sighed and left with the princess. The man blinked back tears, he didn't even want to turn around and look at the two. Hot tears were steaming down his face as he walked out the dining hall, he didn't know nor care where he went as long as he was away from everyone. He didn't understand why he was crying, he and Mario always got into fights but it was something about this particular fight maybe it was the way he looked at Luigi, maybe it was way he let go so easily. Just the thought of it all made him cry harder, he's glad he was quiet when he cried. He finally looked up at his surroundings and let out a soft gasp. He never knew the kingdom had a garden, he ran his fingers through the daffodils and lilacs, a soft smile was soon fond on his face as he ran his fingers through the small stream of water.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
...
Bowser watched the man from the window. Luigi could've went back home but instead decided to stay, he also complemented the King's cooking. The only other person to do that was his own son. He kept looking at the man before retreating to his bedroom.
"This is going to be interesting" he said to himself and closed the door behind himself.
