After taking a few steps back toward my house, I turned and jumped behind a tree to make sure that Kayla didn't see me. I looked back for her. She was running back to her house now. I swiftly moved back to the meeting spot.

I find the hole behind the tree where we put the wolf potion things. I'm glad we were able to get the wolf potions here before we had to leave, unlike the fox potions. I don't need it for two hours, So I wonder if I drink half of it would it last for one hour. That should give me enough time to get what I need to finish Kayla's gift, but not too much to where I miss dinner. It'll take me around seven minutes to get there and then maybe fifteen to find what I need and then fifteen minutes to get back to my house.

I picked one, and held it up, I drank half of it. I felt the same thing that I felt earlier. So I'm pretty sure it works. I turned into a fox. I looked at my tail and my paws. They're black like before.

I started toward her home, the way she brought me, thankfully I remember the way correctly and got to the edge of her home. I walked around her home, still close to the wood so that no one would see me. Once I got around her house I went toward the village.

Some of the wolves that I saw earlier were still here, but some weren't, there are a few new ones, too. I saw the pack of boys that were hoping to use Kayla to control the wolves if she became the Alpha. Just thinking of them and how they were planning on using her made me a little mad.

I took a deep breath. I just need to get what I need to finish her gift and then leave. I found the store I was looking at earlier. I go in. I come out with what I need and head back. I went between buildings. There was a space behind the buildings that connected with the woods. I can follow the edge of the woods back up to Kayla's house.

"Hey Lukas," A voice said behind me.

I turned around to see who it was. It was Jessica. "Uhh... Hi," I replied.

She came up to me and studied me. "Do you like my sister?"

I was surprised by the question, "umm, I don't know."

"Do you think you're good enough for her?" Jessica began to circle me. "Do you have stupid plans to somehow use her control the pack if I pass the Alpha down to her? Which by the way even if I do pass it down to her there is no way for you to control her and I would most likely not pass down the chance to rule."

I was confused by the first part and offended by the second. "First, probably not, I don't think anybody really is and second, I would never do that. I'm not like those other jerks in the village," I pause, I should probably get on her good side if I want to continue to be friends with Kayla, not sure if Jessica could stop her from hanging with me though, either way, "And I'm sure you will be a great Alpha."

She smirks, "Cute and smooth," she murmured. She turned back to me, "So you're really friends with her, not just pretending so that you could hurt her?"

"I would never try to hurt her, she's my best friend and kind of my only friend. I wouldn't be able to hurt her even if I tried, I can't even pin her to the ground in a fight," I told her, "I don't know how much she told you about how we met, but she definitely beat me."

"That sounds like her," Jessica said, "Okay, I approve."

"Thanks... I guess.?"

"Jessica?" We both turned to the voice. It was some guy. He looked really confused, and on the verge of being a mix between mad and sad.

"Hey Vik," Jessica said.

"What are you doing back here," Vik asked.

"Talking to him," Jessica replied, "How did you find me?"
