The City of Darkness

IV: Time!

"This is Shard's mind?" said Sky. "Pretty freaky stuff." Sky, Leah, and Pierce were floating in Shard's mindscape, a place full of hills and meadows that were teal and light green colored, with all different flowers that had so many colors that there was one for each day of the year.

"Hey, look over there!" Leah pointed at the barren space in the distance. It led to a dark castle that had a black aura surrounding it. That was likely where Shard was.

"Come on.....wait...who's that?" Said Pierce. A towering statue loomed over everything else. It was a statue of some girl with a chainsaw strapped to her back and two machetes. Pierce read the plate at the bottom. "Who is Alice II!?"

"That would be me." Said a girl behind the three. It was sure enough Alice II. "So the boy's gal pals came in after him, eh?"

"We're not his gal pals! Who do you think you are? How did you get in here?" Said Sky. At this point Sky was furious. Her emotions have boiled to the top and she had no patience. The space around her started to flare up with yellow embers as she realized she may never see Shard again.

"Wanna go, huh? Fine! Let's fight here and now!" Said Alice II. The battle was about to begin.

"AAAAGH!!!!" Shard screamed. He was in more pain then he thought humanly (or super-humanly for that matter) possible. He had been slashed and cut by the chainsaws and dual machetes that Alice II had.

"That's right. Scream in pain, boy. I'll make sure it hurts." Said Alice II. "Listen up. I keep my promises, so ill tell about why you're here. It all started three years ago..."

-THREE YEARS AGO-

-In Another World, In another Place-

-3: 15 PM/15:15-

"Alice, how much more do we have to walk?" Said a boy.

"Say it wrong again and you wont have to worry about walking, Grafl." Said Alice II.

"Yeah, yeah, sis." Grafl was the alternative version of Shard, because the two lived on an alternate dimensional plane. This means that Alice II was an alternate of someone on the current world, of someone related to Shard.

"It's been so quiet ever since Hael left. She went to Thera to be in a safe place. And in this time, I don't blame her." Hael Dreamcaster. A shy girl from this alternate world, who was the alternative version of Leah. She had magic like Leah, but Hael instead didn't use it that much. She relied heavily on physical combat.

"How long has it been exactly?" Said Alice II.

"About four months..." said Grafl.

"Hopefully she'll come back again....."

-FOUR MONTHS PRIOR...-

Four months ago, Leah met Hael when she came to Thera. With the guidance of Arius, Leah's goddess aunt, Hael learned how to use her elemental powers, which was the power over grass, plants, and other living things. The power of Earth: Ea-Ru Green.

Then, about a month later, Hael decided that she wanted to be with her other self forever, and fused with Leah. This gave Leah all of Hael's abilities and turned Leah into the goddess of ice and life. Hael wasn't forgotten however, as she became a second mind in Leah's head. Basically, she had two brains controlled by two different people. It was weird at first, but eventually the two got acquainted.

-Present Time-

"Now you know why?" Said Alice II. "She took Hael from me! She took my sister from me! She took my best friend! And now...I plan on getting her back, by killing HER best friend! I don't give a shit if you are my alternate brother. You're nothing to me!" Alice II, with tears in her eyes, made her fists go aflame. She jumped at Shard, with all her might and fury, anger and power.

As she was about to punch his lights out, she looked on a screen next to Shard. It showed three girls fighting Alice II.

"Heheh...." said Alice II. "It looks like your friends are fighting my double. Good luck to those chumps! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!!!"

"Sky? Pierce? Leah?" Shard. "Leave them alone!"

"Sorry, but I can't. They will die here too!" Alice II said as she knocked out Shard once more.
