Chapter 12
Recap:
"did he just ask you out on a DATE?"
kaley asked, still smiling from ear to ear.
"well I wouldn't call it a date-"
Kaley cut me off by screaming
"HE LIKES YOU OMG!"
Brooke just rolled her eyes.
"kaley, shhh! I'm still dating Taylor! When are you gonna understand that?"
"never, because I will never understand why you started dating him in the first place"
"never say never!"
I said, making us both giggle.
Brooke, however, didn't laugh.
"you don't see why Tina wants to date Taylor? Really? Have you LOOKED at him?"
Kaley looked shocked.
"yes I have in fact. I've also talked to him, unfortunately, and he has less personality than a stump. I can see why YOU would want to steal him though. You have even less personality, if possible."
I stifled a hysterical burst of laughter and Brooke just sat there, flabbergasted.
"WHAT did you just say to me?"
"did I stutter?"
Kaley replied in a fake sweet voice.
Well this wasn't awkward at all...

You could cut the tension in that limo with a knife.
We were actually planning on having a sleepover after the concert, but seeing as Brooke and Kaley hated each other, it didn't look like that was going to happen.
"so Brooke,"
I started
"I'm really tired and Kaley probably is too, so I was thinking we could just drop you off and hang out tomorrow night or something instead? I kind of just wanted to go to bed..."
"whatever. It's not like this is the first time you've ditched me."
I just sighed. Why did Brooke have to be so difficult? Why was I friends with her again?
More awkward silence...
Finally we arrived at Brooke's house and she didn't even say goodbye before slamming the limo door and storming off to her front door.
"so Tina, you aren't actually tired right? Because I don't want to go to bed yet, it's only 10..."
Kaley asked, looking kind of worried.
"haha no, I just said that to get rid of Brooke. We gon' party it up!"
We both started laughing.
"great, because since your parents aren't home, I think we should have a dance party!"
Then Kaley got more serious
"so why are you and Brooke friends anyway? You two don't seem to get along very well..."
"well, it's kind of weird. We used to get along great and she was a lot nicer, but when I started dating Taylor she got increasingly bitchy. Whenever all three of us would hang out she would kind of just sit there and scowl at us. Now all she cares about is fame and trying to steal my boyfriend. She's totally changed from when I first met her, and it's just getting steadily worse."
