My heart was beating out of my chest as I held the gun to my head. I guess this is a way to see if he's as ruthless as he's said to be. If he'll let his future wife die then I'd happily shoot him and be with Kahn. Be with Kahn? What was I saying? That's not an option.

"Charlie put the gun down," Kahn looked at me with wide teary eyes.

"Charlie don't do anything stupid," Vincenzo snapped at me.

"Don't do anything stupid?" I hysterically laughed as I took the gun off safety, "Let Kahn go and I won't do anything stupid."

Vincenzo eyed me up and down before gesturing for Kahn to walk away. Kahn took his opportunity and bolted out of Vincenzo's possession to be behind me.

I lowered the gun, "You're not to hurt or kill him either, husband."

He began to smirk at my attitude, "You're lucky I can't kill you."

"No babe," I laughed, "You're lucky I can't kill you-"

Before I could even finish my nasty comment back to him I accidentally fired the gun.

"Fuck!" I heard a loud scream erupt from Kahn's mouth.

I looked down and his foot was covered in blood. I just shot him. I just shot Kahn.

"Kahn!" I screamed as I rushed to his aid, "I'm so sorry. I'm so fucking sorry Kahn."

I held his head in my lap as I put my hand over his foot trying to stop the blood.

He grinned up at me, "Probably better than what Vince had planned for me."

"He's right," Vincenzo walked up to us while chuckling. He looked at the secretary, "Call the medic for Kahn."

She nodded before Vincenzo looked down at us. I was in the heat of the moment, but now I really do see that he's good looking. He had a cut out figure that was defined and muscular, his hair was long and slicked back, and his eyes were nearly black. He just screamed mafia, but for some reason I wasn't scared of him. He just went against his own rules to save my life.

He leant down next to me and gently pushed me out of the way so Kahn's head was on the ground. Really? He's going to be protective of me because of a wounded man?

"You're lucky this is all you got," He looked down at Kahn and shook his head before turning to me and whispering in my ear, "Wish I could say the same for you. You're in a lot of trouble for making me look weak in front of my men."

Butterflies began fluttering in my stomach. He was going to punish me. I have no clue what that consists of, but I'm... excited?

I looked down so he couldn't see me blushing, but I was quickly distracted by the crippled man laying on the floor.

"Do you want me to come to the hospital with you?" I asked him.

He opened his mouth to answer, but before he could Vincenzo answered for him, "No. I have plans for you."

"I wasn't asking you," I snapped back.

"I wasn't answering. I'm telling you that you are not to be alone with him ever again."

"We haven't even done anything and Travis is always with us-"

"I get it! Shut the fuck up! Both of you! You act like you've been married for five years!" Kahn yelled at the two of us as the ambulance showed up, "I won't do anything again, Capo. Thank you for sparing my life."

The medics began taking him away which left Vincenzo and I sitting on the lobby floor.

"I can't believe I just shot him," I muttered to myself.
