"I SAID TO BRING HER BACK ALIVE! I DIDN' T THINK I NEEDED TO SPECIFY "IN ONE PIECE"!" The Space dragon roared. "W-well, it could always be worse?" Hagghini shrugged meekly, his colleagues hiding behind him. Ridley slammed his fist into the arm of his throne. "THAT DOESN'T GIVE YOU A REASON TO BLOW HER LEGS OFF!" Shee-ran added to his colleague's previous statement, "At least she's alive sir. A-and Hagghini's plan got the job done a lot quicker than we anticipated."
Ridley sighed, rubbing his temples. He had to admit, Hagghini's little "interference" did save time, but at a heavy cost. At this moment, Dark Samus was in a cell, still unconscious from the sudden attack. Thankfully, being made of Phazon meant she could grow back missing appendages in within hours. Either way, that still doesn't change the fact that Hagghini nearly tossed the entire mission down the drain!
"Oh Hagghini. Hagghini, Hagghini, Hagghini. You're one of my best soldiers. You've served me well these past few decades. I knew your father, back in war. He was a good man. Very brave." He then flew down from his throne to right in from of them, his figure dwarfing the guards. "Which is why I should feel sorry about this..."
SHNNK!
"But I'm not."
Hagghini would've fallen to the floor if Shee-ran didn't catch him, his colleagues' gaping stomach wound staining his uniform. "Get him out of my sight!" The space dragon ordered, pointing towards the doorway. As Sheeran and Mairen dragged Hagghini away, two burly guards came in with a human scientist, his ankles and wrists bound by rusted chains. Ridley practically glared daggers at the scientist, "Well?" The scientist tried his best to swallow his fear, "U-um... She's fully recovered. A-and had regained c-consciousness about ten minutes ago." Ridley rose his head with his finger, grinning both out of relief of her recovery, and amusement from the now sniveling human.
"Excellent."
He said nothing more as he left the room, readying himself for any and every possible outcome to this little... business proposal.
Dark Samus readied her arm canon.
She shot.
Once again, it had no effect on force field prison.
She sighed, revealing how defeated she truly felt. She slammed her fist against her prison. "Where are you taking me?!"
"Oh don't worry. I'm not taking you anywhere."
Ridley stopped in front of her prison. His arms behind his back, a smirk on his face as he eyed her. "Finally I can get a good look at you... Dark Hunter." Dark Samus's eyes glared at him through her helmet. "And if it isn't Geoform 187. It appears Samus decided to reschedule your weekly murder by her hands." The Space Dragon chuckled, not allowing the insult to distract him. "No, not exactly. Let's just say I thought it best to... leave her be, for now. Never mind that, though. I have a little... opportunity for you~." He then walked away, whispering an order to the guards. Next thing she knew, the guards opened up the force field, electrocuted her legs and cuffed her. "Is this how you treat all of your prisoners here?" She grunted, struggling in their grasp.
"No ma'am." One said, "You're a special case."
The guards guided dark Samus towards the two giant doors, opening to Ridley's throne room.
The space dragon was already comfortable on his throne, his head supported on his right knuckle, his legs crossed. He sat up more straight and grinned slightly when he saw her still within her restraints. He sensed her... uncertainty, with her current situation. He reveled in it.
"Well, isn't this a surprise." He smirked, "I had assumed you would've escaped by now." He glared down upon her, a wide, toothy grin on his face. "I guess you're not as tough as people say, huh?" The Dark Hunter growled, lunging for him. Or at least, she tried to, but the guards held her back and electrocuted her legs again, causing her to yelp in pain as she collapsed to her knees. Ridley laughed maliciously. He never knew how easy it was to control her! After he composed himself, he flew down and stood in from of them. He looked to the guards. "You are excused. I'll handle this myself." The door shut loudly.
He looked down upon her, noticing how shaky she was. She seemed... genuinely afraid. He always heard of her being emotionless. This was new to him.
He knelt down in front of her, lifting her chin up with a single claw. She tried to calm herself, her breathing beginning to quiet down. "So this is what you're really like." He said, then scoffed, "You're no different than the rest of us." Dark Samus jerked her head away, "Just get to the damn opportunity you mentioned!" Ridley chuckled slightly, then rose up on his feet, grabbing the Hunter's restraints to join him. "As you wish." He purred, the Dark Hunter's uneasiness rising with how close he was.
He then began.
"Samus Aran has been nothing but a pain for far too long. She has consistently interfered with our plans. Destroyed countless bases. And to top it all off, has taken the lives of some of our best. It's about time she paid for what she's done against me. Against us."
He grabbed her shoulders as he continued,
"With your power and my experience, we can finally destroy her! Once, and for all."
He leaned to where her ear would be, "All I need, is your complete and absolute loyalty to the Space Pirates."
Dark Samus shuddered from his breath. After he moved his head away, she asked, "So, What you're implying is just another form of imprisonment." "Not exactly." He smirked, letting go of her shoulders as he turned, "I just see so much potential in you and your... unique abilities. And with you having worked with us before, well, it should be nothing but child's play."
He turned back to her as he awaited an answer. Dark Samus simply eyed him, as if to see if he was lying. He had a point, she did work with them before, but for her own reasoning, not to mention she always worked best when on her own. All everyone else did was get in her way.
Get in her way...
She had an idea.
Ridley's bright yellow eyes widened slightly as she knelt down in compliance.
"Very well. I am at your command, Lord Ridley."
A toothy grin crossed his face,
"Well then. Welcome aboard Dark Hunter. Now, you work for me."
