Connor's pov
I don't get how Troye is so calm. I don't think I've ever been this nervous and especially not for a date. When we stopped in front of one of the chicest restaurants here in the surroundings my hands began sweating only harder. I wanted to apologize to Troye when he grabbed my hand to lead us inside. He definitely felt it but instead of loosing his grip he tightened it in what I guess was a comforting gesture. I just don't have much experience with dating, actually no experience when it comes to guys. I've also never been to such a fancy restaurant. What if my manners aren't good enough or I accidentally push my drink over. I would be so embarrassed. How did Tyler even manage to get us in here. I'm sure this restaurant has a long waiting list.
"Tyler how did you get us on the list?"
"I have my connections, don't ask."
With that he and Korey left, leaving me and Troye alone in front of the building.
"So let's go inside or do you want to keep standing here?"
"Uh no sounds good."
"God Connor relax, it's just me and you, you don't need to stress okay?"
"I know but I just do, I can't help it." I felt my face heating up, why am I so awkward?
Troye turned to face me and let his hand stroke over my jaw.
"Everything will be fine. It's just us two like it always used to be only a little bit fancier." I know that what he was telling me is true but that doesn't make me less nervous. His eyes do though, I don't know what it is about those blue orbs that can make me calm. It kinda reminds me of the sea. Actually if I concentrate hard enough then I can hear the sea. It's not far from here, a 15 minute walk I think.
"Connor?" I must have zoned out.
"You know that you look really cute when you're staring at me. I would want to kiss you but people would say it's PDA."
"I have nothing against PDA."
"Oh you're that kind of guy." he laughed. "Let's just go inside."
The lady that had to lead us to the table gave us a weird look when we walked inside. She looked at our intertwined hands and then back to us.
"What name is your reservation on?" Shit. I have no clue.
"Our friend did the reservation but it's either Mellet or Franta." Troye said politely.
"Okay...let's see." The lady really wasn't friendly. She came a little annoyed over . It's not our fault that we don't know what name Tyler did the reservation on.
"Mellet. Okay follow me to your table."
The table she lead us too was around the corner, away from all the other tables but I didn't mind. More privacy, less stress to do something wrong.
The women left us alone after placing the menus in front of us without saying a word. I guess she's homophobic.
"Well she's a nice lady." I said with a sarcastic tone.
"Yeah and she definitely doesn't have a thing against gay people."
"Let's see if they at least have something good to eat."
We both pick up the menus and look at it.
"No nutella, what even is this place?" Troye laughed. All my nerves from earlier seemed to have vanished.
"I know right, why would we eat super expensive lobster and stuff. That's not what you expect from a fancy restaurant at all." We both started laughing hysterical and a women came to our table asking if we could be quieter because I will quote her ' Our laughter isn't an enjoyable sound for the people who want to enjoy their meal.' Me and Troye tried to keep in our laughter but right as the women disappeared we cried it out.
