it's been tough

(kayla pov)

(i sat on the bench waiting for matt to show. he was really suppose to be here first. after about five minutes later I was about to call him he showed up walking with his hands in his pockets. he sits on the bench next to me that I'm on and looks at me like I'm the one who said meet me here.)

matt-ok so imma be real with you right now.

kayla-(confused) oh ok

matt-Alex likes you

kayla-(blushes) he does? I mean like is that suppose to be a good thing.

matt-(gets mad) so you like Alex huh? I knew it was too good to be true when he asked If you liked him.

kayla-im sorry I wasn't really sure enough if I wanted to tell you I didn't want it to ruin our friendship. Matt please im sorry.

matt-(balls up fist)it dosent matter because I liked you first. If I cant have you then he cant either.

kayla-Matt what is your problem your acting like you own me. we are best friends, your not my dad or my brother I can like whoever I want and it dosent need your approval!!

(matt gets up off the bench and looks at me. then all I know is that I'm on the ground and blood is dripping from my nose. I look up and see him standing over me. I start crying and tell him to never talk to me again I get up and run home.)

Desmond-oh my gosh what happened to you?

kayla-nothing im going to my room.

Desmond-(yelling) mike come here!!

mike-what the hell who did this to you?

kayla-Nobody just leave me alone!

(i run up to my room into the bathroom, I tilt my head back to make the blood stop rushing out of my nose.as its finally done i go to my room and change my Clothes and put my bloody things in the Clothes hamper. Desmond comes walking Through my door and sits on my bed)

kayla-what do you want?

Desmond-I want you to tell me what happened.

kayla-I can't its too much.its nothing for you too know so leave me alone.

Desmond-either you tell me or im telling dad for the first time.and you know If he knows all hell is going to break loose.

kayla-(sighs) Huh ok. matt called me earlier and told me-

Desmond-Wait matt!!?

kayla-let me finish.

Desmond-hold on not until mike comes in here.

(he go gets mike and they sit at the edge of my bed)

mike-go head

kayla-ok so Matt called me earlier and told me to meet him at the park because he had to ask me something in person so i walked to the park and he was telling me that Alex likes me and (talks fast holding back tears) I guess I got happy because I like him too but i guess he got mad and said If he cant hace me then Alex cant so i yelled at him and told me he didn't run me then he got up and punched me in my face.

desmond-I want his head im not playing.

mike-I knew something was up with him he always got them crazy looks when we all walk to school and you talk to alex. we boutta go over there and bust his head open im not Playing. hitting my lil sister will get him dead. and think he gone sleep on this oh hell naw come on des.

kayla-no!! its just going to make the situation worser than it is.

Desmond,mike-(together)so

mike-it got worse when he hit you and you walking in the house with a bloody nose.

Desmond-now come on you going to.this aint about to slide past me and you know for sure not past mike.

kayla-(sighs)whatever lets go.
