Chapter Two: The party

The next morning I woke up to the sound of shouting, I yawned, streched and gout out of bed. I groaned as I made my way downstairs, the shouting had stopped. "Good morning Ryder." Said Mel, I smiled "Still waking up cous?" asked Rose, I whipped the back of my hands over my eyes "I'll take that as a yes." Rose said "Well come eat and then go shower." I nodded and took a seat at the table. Rose gave Melissa a kiss on the cheek as she gave her her plate of food I smilled as I remembered June kissing my cheek last night. "How long have you two been together?" I asked. "Three years." Mel replied. "Cool."

After my shower my shower i went back downstairs and joined Rose and Mel on the couch, my phone buzzed it was June.
-Party tonight!" I smiled. "Is that June?" asked Mel "Yeah." I mumbled "Hey Rose?" Rose turned her head to look at me I continued "Can I go out tonight? June's friend is having a party?" Rose nodded "Of course but don't get too wasted I was thinking tomorrow I'm going to show you around this beautiful city!" I raised and eyebrow "Tomorrow?" Rose nodded "Alright." I said. I texted June back. -It's a go! But tomorrow my cous is showing me around London." My phone buzzed -I'll be there at nine. I stood up "Well I'm going to unpack more."

"Ryder!" I hear Rose call my name, I left my room and head downstairs "Yo!" I said as I walked into the living room "Lunch is made." said Mel "What time are you leaving at?" asked Rose "Nine." I said "Can I take my food to my room?" "Yeah." As I turned to walk away I heard Rose start to speak again "No drugs cous." I sighed. I walked into the kitched, grabbed my food and went back into my room.

I woke up to my phone buzzing, I checked it, it was June telling me she was on her way. I got out of bed and made my way downstairs, half way down them I heard the boor bell so I ran down the rest and slipped. "Fuck!" I yelled I got up and opened the door "Hey." June said "Ready?" I nodded "Yeah, eh Rose? Mel? I'm going out now." I shrugged "Ryder." I jumped as I heard Rose behind me "Remember what I said."

Finally June and I arrived at the party! We go in the door and June started introducing me to people "Hey Ryder wanna see my crew?" She grabbed my hand and led me up the stairs, we stopped in front of a door "Is that weed I smell." I asked June gave me a smirk as we walked in "Guys this is Ryder, he's new here." I smiled a little "Ryder that guy smoking the bong is Dyson, that right there is Mark he is kind of wasted and that over there is Becca." I nodded "Wait? Where is everyone else?" June asked "I don't know." said Becca. I took a seat on the floor pressing my back against the wall, I watched June as she poured shots of Tequila, I sighed remembering what Rose said. June came and sat beside me passing me a shot, I took it "Thanks." She smiled "So Ryder why did you move here?" I looked down now realizing why my parents sent me here "Maybe because I did too much of this back home." I answered "Oh was this a bad idea to come here?" "No no! its fine I just need to pace myself but eh can I have another shot?" June chuckled and poured me another one, I took it. "Want a bong hit bro?" Dyson asked "Yeah." I stood up making my way over to Dyson, I sat in front of him, he passed me the bong and a lighter. Soon I was right back beside June. June layed her head on my shoulder "Ryder?" "Hmm?" "You're cool." June giggled "I try." I said "Eh? Where's the bathroom?" Jne lifted her head "Just down the hall." I slowly got up and left the room, making my way down the hall, I opened a door and looked inside, I saw Alison. I walked in "Ryder?" "Yeah thats me?" Alison chuckled "Stalking me now?" she joked "Well come here man." I gulped as I took a seat beside her "Want some." She was putting her beer in my hand "Okay." "So Ryder I bet you hear a lot about me." I shook my head, taking a sip of the beer "Nope. Well... just I was warned to stay away from you." I said Alison laughed. She took the beer from my hand and put her fingers through my head "I knew she would." Alison laughed again "You here with that girl?" I nodded "Well Ryder I hate to ask but do you want some E?" My eyes went wide. "E..." I wishpered "As in exstacy?" Ali smirked "Yes." "You know this is why Rose told me to stay away." Alison stood infront of me holding out two pills "I really shouldn't." "You really should." I sighed. I opened my mouth and Ali placed the pill on my tongue, she handed back the beer to me and I swallowed the pill. I got up and started making my way to the door "Ryder not so fast." She stood infront of me, putting her hand in my pocket, pulled out my phone and put her digits in my contacts. "If you ever need me." she whispered against my lips. I slowly made my way back to where June and her friends were "Hey bro!" Dyson shouted I looked at June who raised an eyebrow at me. "Sorry. I just seen one of Mel's friends." June kissed my cheek "It's fine." I put my head down and looked at Ali's number, I shook my head. "Why are we in this room? Let's go dance!" Becca laughed "Because its too crowded down there." I shrugged. June stood up and pulled me up with her "We can dance here." She said putting her arms around my neck, somehow my hands were on her waist already. "Will I ever really get to know you?" June asked I smirked "Soon."

It was getting late and both June and I were getting tired "Well I think we should dip" I said "Sounds good." June said. We made our way down stairs when I saw her again, it was Alison, she saw me to "See ya Ryder." she said walking past me, I shook my head. June and I finally got outside and made our way home. We got to June's house "Well I'll see you sometime this week." she threw her arms around me and hugged me, I watched as she staggered into her house. I walked a few steps to my own house, unlocked the door and went to my room, I pulled out my phone, looked at Ali's number and sighed realizing that was my first mistake.
