Chapter 10

Our next opponent was Wakutani Minami High they looked like a tough team. Well they had to be in order to make it this far, but Karasuno was going to beat this team and any who got in their way to go to nationals.

"Alright team these guys are pretty tough," Coach said getting everyone's attention, "They took their match in straight sets and from what we saw yesterday they move as a solid unit."

"His whole family showed up." Daichi said

"Is it just me or do you look jealous," Tsuki said as Hinata slightly shook.

"But look we aren't alone," Taki pointed up to the stands, "We have our own fans Big Sis, Yachi, and the Community teams have always had our backs, we will not let the down."

"That's right so lets give them a show," Daichi put his hand on her shoulder.

"Yeah!!" The team cheered running to their position.

The whistle blew which meant it was time for the coin toss, we always chose to receive anyway to help swing the momentum in our direction as soon as possible. Their team captain had an aura to him it was intense but he was no match against Daichi. He knew exactly what buttons to push to get his team into the right mind.

The team had gone back and forth in one of our longest rallies yet. They were already tracking Hinata and Tsuki and Kageyama were doing a great job at blocking but, they were receiving each ball perfectly. We were about to get it over again but then something drastic happened. It was in a blink of an eye one minute it was last touch but the next Daichi and Tanaka were both laying on the court.

"Daichi!! Tanaka!!" They all ran onto the court to check on their captain.

"Are you alright what's you name? Where are we?" Takeda kneeled down and steadied his shoulders in case he had a concussion.

"Daichi Sawamura, and we are playing Wakutani." He rubbing his cheek and stood up. "I'm fine I Promise."

"That's a serious injury kid," Takeda said trying to be re-assuring. "Just to be safe I need you to go to the medical office and get everything cleared."

Daichi sighed and nodded before coving his mouth with his hand "Are you alright do you feel nauseous?"

"No I'm puh" They all looked at his hand, he spit out a tooth. His actual tooth!

"Uh Daichi." Tanaka stepped forward before they could leave. "I'm really sorry." You could hear the sincerity in his voice.

"No I'm Sorry Tanaka I say you going in for the ball but my body had a will of it's own and went for it," He had a bit of a slur due to the rag and swelling on his cheek. "But hey look at that, you took back a point and now we are well on our way to taking this." Tanaka still looked guilty for taking out their captain but he nodded non the less.

"I'm sorry Asahi I'll be right back," He patted his shoulder "But for right now It's up to you.

"Don't you worry we will be fine." No other words had to be said between them.

"He is walking steady so maybe his is alright." Iwazumi said from the stands.

"I'm not sure they have a player strong enough to replace him." Oikawa said as they were watching from the stands.

"We are counting on you!" Suga yelled from the sidelines and Taki ran onto the court.

"It's that girl from earlier." The team walked up to the railing seeing a girl with long hair taking Daichi's position.

"You got this Taki!!" The whole team was shouting and giving her pointers on the other teams defenses and attacks.

She took a deep breath and got the ball for the serve to say she nervous was and understatement, she was a first year there was no way she could take over Daichi's spot. The ref blew the whistle and it was time for her serve. "I'll have to give it 90% power" she thought and tossed the ball.
