In Naruto the seems to be a lot of barriers there seems to be a problem with equality and being strong because any woman that was and is strong is almost always dragged through a lot of pain or is a mom and then they seem to no longer have the wish to keep doing their goals and expirations.

Sakura started as an average girl more or less, she has anger issues she is trying to figure out who she is when she gets pulled into the team, and right before she graduates. Sakura tries to fit in because that's what is expected of her so she followed the lead of Ino and then the other girls. When she starts to separate from Ino we see Sakura has no friends really and it seemed like she was tired of being a shadow she wants to be different from Ino but not so different she'd be actively bullied like she was when I was younger or like Naruto who is a prankster and bright orange a big target.

Sakura as a kid was refreshing she was selfish, scared of society, and wanted to break out of her shell and had a voice in her head that was more violent than continuously showed her thoughts. Which told me that maybe those type of vicious thoughts were considered rude by her parents and society, more than likely civilian society since she is from a civilian family. But both seem to be the problem since we rarely see any woman or civilian-born ninja go past chunnin. She liked boys and maybe at first she didn't really care for Sasuke as more than a poster board first but no one really had healthy crushes when you were younger, it stuck to me that she was going through a lot more things that meant more to me than flashy fights, because once you defeated those that was that. After all, Naruto tried to fight society because he can't protect people who used to be involved in root-like Boruto's friend she's an orphan does she have a home ? is she getting counseling, she's basically being dragged through the mud and she had nothing to do with it and Naruto doesn't protect her as her Hokage.

Sakura successfully made people accept her as she grew and developed more of her personality as she got older because that's what happens you learn more as you progress and grow no one is really the same as they were when they were younger and she grew Sakura is supposed to be a girl that was meant to be relatable it shows our insecurities and our doubts and all the pain that some girls were dragged through in school for trying to be strong and for reading. Most of the fandom hate her cause she is strong she has a personality they don't like they want a waifu Sakura is a girl from a civilian family joining a JROTC program who has a bunch of army brats enrolled in it and then she goes and join the military gets stuck in a huge battalion full of more children that come from military families.
