I never thought i was an extraordinary girl, I imagined myself to be more of a....plain jane invisble in the world I lived in. I was invisible and while i was invisible i became enamored with the idea of the idea of falling in love and being seen as extraordinary in someones eyes, well this is the story of how it all happened how i fell in love and how it changed me some ways were better others were not.
I feel like it happened just yesterday, when in reality it happened 3 years ago.It was a beautiful June day and I was with my best friend Cindy celebrating her achievement in graduating highschool. Her family was slowly trickling in along with our friends from highschool as well . I turned my head in time to see a very confident man striding up to where we stood he hugged cindy and shook conors hand, he finally stood before me and smirked as if he knew something I didn' t know it caused me to blush profusely as i stared at the ground trying to clear my head. I finally gathered the courage to looke back up after a few seonds ticked by and smile warmly back "hello," I tried to sounds indifferent but sounds flustered this caused him to smile so widely "hello my name is Christian." I nodded my head afraid to speak not wanting to sound like a school girl, i watched as he cooly strided away from where we stood wanting to know more about him wanting to hear his voice. I kept by Cindy trying to regain my composure to talk to christian, Cindy decided she was ready to go sit down and choose the tabel he sat at i sat across from him while my heart pounded in my chest " well hello again,"he broke the silence between the two of us and i looked up and murmured "hello," he broke the akward silence and it became easier to talk to him and he was so open in talking it made me less self concious.
The night continued with music and laughter some time had passed before i realized Cindy and Connor had left to dance. Cindy was my best friend for 2 years and I loved her very dearly, one of the things i loved most about her was that she was presistent when it came to things going her way . I laughed as she came over with that famous Cindy is going to get her way look, " you two have to dance!" she demanded i giggled and shook my head no "you take her hand and take her to dance you two are the only other ones i want dancing with us!" she gave him her look and he laughed and gave in before offering me his hand "would you please dance with me?" he smiled with no words to speak i took the hand he offered and danced with how every motion was just fluid, as the song came to an end he spun me around and smiled at me again only this time it was different i couldnt put my finger on what it was but there was something to the smile. I shook my head and cleared in attempt to clear my thoughts as he walked away with a girl I knew , for a few minutes i felt a pang of jealousy strike every bone as I watched him go I played it off not understanding what i was feeling at the time. It was become a quiet night till our friends and i wandered off to see what the playgroud was like people were running around and being playful with one another i walked alone silently watching everyone amusment coloring my features as they began to play on the slides like we were five again, I took my place on the swing set watching the sky get darker and the skies become speckled with stars it calmed all my nerves until a friend of mine named mika and dave sat in the swings next to me " so Joann what are your plans?" Mika asked I stayed quiet and shurgged my shoulders it wasnt something I wanted to talk about I knew id miss all my friends but it was in the future, I noticed a small group of people sitting at a table far away from us and rolled my eyes we began to walk back to the party laughing and enjoying each others company.
The closer we go i noticed christian was not there and the two girls that followed him had dissapered as well I could feel my self growing aggitated with that though and quickly brushed the thought away. "Joann, hey wanna go for a drive?" Lucas asked, I smiled thinking about how close we had become recently it was nice to know i had a good friend. "sure lets go!" I jumped up and jumped on him being playful, we got to the car and I let my hair down as i buckled my seat belt. We took off and I enjoyed the feeling of the air whipping my hair around this was familiar to me ot was easy. I smiled to Lucas watching a he looked so carefree. We noticed a small comotion and pulled into the parking lot of the party. There was a girl crying while her parents lecture her, I recognized her as one of the girls that walked off with Christian. We walked up close enough to hear that the girl had driven off with Christian and she needed to come back. I watched a everyone began to dial other peoples number in search of them, just as i got to cindy i saw him approach from the other side and I smirked. "well well look what the cat dragged in." I said " Ms. Darling you underestimate the power of a good conversation and a lovely dance partner." he replied dazzling me with his smile. I turned
