A laugh echoed down the corridor and the King and Queen, who were passing by, both turned their heads to look at the door it was coming from and then back to each other.

"That's the first time I've heard him laugh in a while," the Queen said with a slight frown on her face. She was happy that he had found someone to make him laugh, just slightly dissapointed that it had come to the point he needed someone else to laugh.

"It means his happy," the King replied, grabbing his wife's hand and bringing them up to place on his chest.

"His already falling in love my dear and we can't do anything to stop it, but I think we also need to ensure that Max is falling for him too. I know the last thing that we both want is for our son to get his heart broken."

The Queen nodded and they turned to look at the door again, before the King grabbed her hand and escorted her away from the room.

"Oh my god, no way. I can't believe you did that," Max laughed.

The two had decided to just lay on his bed in their room and had been engaging in a conversation to try and get to know each other, but that meant telling someone embarrassing stories that had caused the two to erupt in laughter.

"It's true," he had the widest grin that he felt like he had ever seen on his face. His cheek muscles were sore from smiling so much and he felt like his chest was too from laughing so much.

It suddenly went quiet again, Max having a look on his face. He wanted to take in the moment and just remember it, his eyes looking at the Prince with an adoring glance, his eyes scanning his face as he turned over on his side to face him.

"What?" He asked, unsure why he was exactly looking at him like that.

"You're nothing like I expected," Max replied, his fingers staying next to his body even though he wanted to stroke a finger down his face and tuck the loose strand of hair that fell down his face behind his ear.

"Is that a good or bad thing?" He laughed, even though his stomach became filled with nerves at the comment, thinking that their may be a slight possibility that it wasn't a good thing at all.

He raised an eyebrow. "I don't know, what do you think?" He chuckled. Of course it was a good thing, but it wouldn't hurt to play around a little.

"Well, I hope a good thing, but I may be mistaken."

"You are not, it is a good thing," he smiled, his hand moving slightly closer to his, the pinky brushing against the prince's.

"Max?" He looked down at their hands and then back up at him.

"I don't want to rush this at all, not anymore. I hope we have all the time in the world, but I know we obviously do have a time limit and stuff because of the courtship, but-" he stopped himself, gulping and dared to glance in Max's eyes that looked so kind and tender.

"Sorry, I guess I ramble when I'm nervous. It's a habit..."

"A cute habit," Max interjected and that caused a slight blush to tint on the prince's cheeks.

"Well, anyway- I want to do all the things we possibly can during this time, I mean I do have to make you fall in love with me after all. I can't think of a better way to do that then a first date, so would you like to go on a date with me?"

"What do you have in mind?" He tilted his head.

"Good question," he gave out a weak chuckle. "I've never had to plan a date before, but I've seen movies. The palaces garden is a lovely place, plus it seems to be beautiful weather. Would a picnic be a nice thing to do, I know it's no fancy restaurant or anything like that, but-"

Max cut him off again, this time daring to take his hand in his, giving it a light squeeze. "A picnic sounds wonderful, a nice walk and will there be chocolate covered strawberries?" His eyes seem to light up at the question, something the Prince found absolutely adorable.

"You can have whatever your heart desires."

So you? Max thought, it was becoming more and more evident that the Prince was what his heart desired, he couldn't do anything to stop it. He didn't want to though, he was already falling for him quicker than he had planned, but every minute more he spent with the Prince was like an hour, an hour that he finally got to see him as he truly were, an hour he got to know him for him, an hour where he got to live in a moment that he never thought he would have.

"I've always like the scenes where people feed each other chocolate covered strawberries," he admits with an embarrassed blush on his cheeks. "I know that's probably not Prince like behaviour but-"

"No, none of this. You should know from our first meeting that I don't always follow 'Prince like behaviour'. When I'm spending time with you, it feels normal, like I'm normal. I don't want to have to act like a Prince all the time and with you I feel like I can finally get a break from it. So when it's just me and you none of this Prince stuff okay, just Charming."

"Okay, but maybe I like calling you my Prince Charming."

"Well, I guess if you like calling it me, you can or you can just call me your Prince," he winked.

"But you're charming too, a very fitting last name may I just say. You can't say smooth lines like that and not consider yourself Charming."

The Prince laughed, slightly rolling his eyes as he looked at Max again, the words on the tip of his tongue.

I like you, a lot. Maybe even already love you.

Yet, he kept his lips closed shut and just decided to take in the moment. That's all he would do until the time was right and he didn't think that time was just yet, but soon he thought. Very soon...
