6:00 p.m.

"I'm just tired of this stupid crap!" I sobbed to my mom, putting my clothes in my cheerleading duffle bag.

"Y/n, put your bag down and unpack! You're making a big deal out of nothing!" My mom pleaded, trying to take my bag.

"Don't touch it" I cried helplessly, yanking my bag away.

"Honey, calm down please" My mom said on the verge of crying.

"I-I can't stay here with that scary person!" I struggled to say through my sniffling.

My step-dad has been very mean ever since I've had Moira.

He speaks to me like I'm some whore because I had a baby so young.

But what's really making me leave is that he tried to hit my face earlier when I told him to get out my room because Moira was sleeping.

I told Billie as soon as he did it and then he tried to take my phone.

Billie almost left work before I told her to just come get me after.

I'm leaving because I don't feel safe living with him, and I'm definitely not staying here with Moira.

"Baby" She said, tears exiting her eyes.

"I'm sorry, mommy" My lips quivering, hugging her.

"Call me" I whined, grabbing my bag and Moira's diaper bag and starting to walk out.

My mom backed away and let me walk out my room.

I thrusted the front door open and hurried to close it so Maya, my moms little dog don't get out.

I sniffled, wiping my eyes quickly as I speed walked to Billie's car.

She watched me open her door and hurry to get in, putting me and Moira's bag on the floorboard.

She stared as I put on my seatbelt and checked on our newborn.

She was looking at me, sucking on a pacifier, holding her little hands together.

"Hi, honey" I smiled, wiping my eyes then rubbing her little foot.

She whimpered, probably hungry or needs a diaper change.

"C-can you stop at a p-place please?" I sniffled, looking down at my phone.

"Sure, baby" She said quietly, starting her car.

She drove off my street and off a couple blocks before finding the main road and then pulling into a McDonald's.

I whimpered, my eyes tearing up again.

I didn't want to leave my mom, but I wasn't gonna risk getting hit infront of my baby, or Moira getting hit herself.

I just hope he doesn't do anything bad to my mom.

Billie took off her seat belt and rubbed my back, bringing me into a hug.

"Billieeee" I sobbed, holding onto her tightly.

"Shhhhh" She shushed me quietly, comforting me.

"I know, baby" She said, rubbing my back softly.

"I miss my mom" I whined into her work shirt.

"I know you do, baby. You're just staying with me, you're still gonna see her all the time" She said softly, pulling back to look at me.

She lifted my face to see my red nose and cheeks.
