AND ALEX AND LISA ARE ENGAGED AWWWW

OKAY BYE

Alex's POV

I woke up the next morning to the sound of my annoying alarm ringing louder than necessary, just like every other day. Only that today wasn't a normal day, it was worse. The entire school knows what happened between Hayley and I. Then I heard that she ran out of music class crying. Fuck, I feel so guilty! I hate myself for hurting her after I knew what she's been through.

Not only that, I'm completely miserable without her. I know how cliche and cheesy this is, but Hayley was my sunshine. Everything seemed so much better when I was with her. I was hers and she was mine. Her beautiful smile lit up a room immediately. I loved her so much, I still love her now.

But she's not mine anymore, and it's all my fault.

With a heavy sigh, I rolled myself out of bed and dragged myself to the shower. Today I feel really dead, like nothing matters anymore. Nothing does matter anymore, I'm in love with a girl who hates me, my friends probably all hate me too, the whole school thinks I'm an asshole and that I'm gay and my mum is never at home. Wow, I truly am all alone now.

I didn't even bother straightening my hair or making myself look presentable at all. Throwing on a random pair of jeans and shirt that happened to be lying around on the floor, I slumped down the stairs, picked up my bag, and began the godforsaken trip to hell.

As I walked through the school gates, I heard gasps all around. Yes, I look homeless, get over it. This continued all the way to the field. My friends were in the usual spot, but I'm too scared to go over there. Hayley was there too, to make matters worse. She looked so beautiful with red hair, but clearly she'd rather die than hear me say that to her. Do I go over there or not?

After about a minute, Tay noticed me standing at the other end of the field. Now they're all turning round. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Before anyone could say or do anything, I ran. Where can I go though? I'm certain that no one wants to talk to me, let alone be seen with me.

Somehow I ended up behind the bike shed. This is where all the stoners go to get high. Personally I don't want to be involved in all that but it's too late now.

There were three people huddled in a small circle. I recognise them as Tony, Mike and Jaime.

"Yo, Alex!" Mike yelled, clearly high already. His eyes were bright red and smoke drifted from his mouth as he spoke. Yep, definitely high.

"Um, hi" I replied. Jaime tapped the space next to him, motioning for me to sit. I obliged, since I really have nothing else to do.

"We heard what happened with you and Hayley, man," he said, taking a drag from his cigarette. The smoke kept drifting in my direction so I had to try as hard as possible not to cough "Pretty rough, buddy"
