The bright sun was shining through your blinds. The golden glow illuminating your room, as the morning grog started making you feel drowsy. Last night, you had to protect the Hidden Leaf Village from some bandits that thought it was a good idea to attack, which resulted in your lower abdomen getting stabbed with a poison knife. The poison had drained your strength and had caused your health to go down, a lot. Sakura and Hinata had stopped by and dropped off F/F, hoping it'd distract you from the searing pain that soured through your body, but it only helped the tiniest bit.

The only thing that helped you was Naruto, or at least, the thought of him helped you a lot. He'd changed a lot ever since he discovered his potential and graduated from that ninja school all those years ago. He'd turned kind, happy, and was strong and brave. That's what you most admired about him, his ability to help and protect the people he cared about, the fact that he'd do anything for anyone..you loved that about him.

You were hoping he'd come, praying even. That he'd at least leave you something outside your door, so that when you re-gained your strength you'd be bale to open it and have your day start with a warm feeling in your heart...

But he didn't. You didn't hear anything, no footsteps, no knocking. Nothing. It left you a bit sad, but you knew it wasn't his fault. He was always busy, and maybe today he couldn't spare enough time to see you...

You went about your day, it had started to rain. It was expected since it hadn't rained in a while. You ate the food Hinata and Sakura had dropped off, as you focused on the rain pattering on your front steps. After you had settled yourself back down on your bed, you heard a knock at your door. You expected it to be Sasuke asking for his medicine back, you grabbed the kit and opened the door, only to be met with the grin you loved.

"M/N! Sorry I didn't come earlier, I was a bit tied up on my way here." he rubbed the back of his head nervously, you smiled as a way of comfort. "It's okay, I wasn't really expecting you to come actually, but thanks for looking out for me." he smiled nervously. "Yeah..anyways, I brought you some medicine and herbs, it should help you regain your strength faster. Hopefully you're able to come back in a few days." you hummed and moved out of the doorway to let him in, in which he gladly stepped inside.

"So, tell me, any knew adventures recently?" you said with a hint of mischief, as you started prepping some tea for yourself with the herbs he'd brought for you. "Oh, nah. Just the usual boring stuff. I'm honestly getting sick of it, but there's nothing I can really do." he yawned. He pulled up a chair and sat down.

You chuckled. "You haven't changed a bit, still lazy." "At least I try! I'm doing my best cut me some slack." you laughed and poured the tea into a cup. "Hmm, should I? I mean, the great Seventh Hokage should be able to withstand a mere insult." he sweat dropped. "Ehe..come on M/N don't do this to me-"

You smirked. "Maybe i'll stop, but you haven't gotten away that easily."

For the rest of the afternoon, you both sat in silence. Making small conversations ever so often to make the atmosphere less tense. The stories he told made you smiled and laugh, as you stared at him with eyes filled with love and satisfaction. You knew he was a bit dense to see through your 'Only best friends' intentions, but you planned to tell him soon..

ha, who are we kidding, you doubted he had feelings for you. And telling him means risking your year long friendship, he'd never talk to you again, he wouldn't even make time to see you because of how awkward it'd be...

you were snapped from your thoughts by Naruto snapping his fingers in front of your face. "M/N? Hellooo? Earth to M/N?" You blinked your eyes, and were met with crystal blue ones, you noticed the close proximity between the both of you. His breath tickled your lips as your breath hitched in surprise. Your eyes wondered to his lips and back up to his eyes, those mesmerizing eyes that caused your whole body to shiver and tickle. You felt firm hands on your waist as his eyes became half lidded, bringing both of your chests together as the tension increased.

"M/N..." his name escaped his lips as the space between you closed, his warm lips touched yours. A wave of warmth went through your body as your lips moved in sync, everything you've ever wanted was coming true and more. You rested your hands on his chest as he caressed your waist, the love and passion overwhelmed you as both of your cheeks were dusted red.

He caressed his tongue on your lower lip to ask for an entrance, in which you gladly gave him. He softly explored your mouth, as you felt the wet muscle touch yours. Your feeling of lust was soon gone as he pulled away, looking into your eyes with love, he caressed your face. "M/N...I love you."

Your eyes widened, but they went back to their normal state...

"I love you too, Naruto."
