Ok, first of all I would like to appologise to anyone who is strongly religous, I do not intend to offend anyone. This is all fictional and just for the purpose of my story. << thought I should write that just incase for this chapter as it involves God and Satan. Anyway, all that aside, I hope you enjoy this chapter! Comment, vote, fan??? :D

(Mara’s P.O.V)
I stood right at the edge of the cliff, staring down at the darkness below. My heart was racing, I’d always had a fear of heights. I lent forward slightly, trying to see where the bottom was but it was as if there wasn’t one. I could see something moving down there though. Something waiting. I quickly took a step back, before I could lose my balance.
"What is this place?" I asked the judge who was standing behind me.
"Well, down there, that’s hell." She told me. I shuddered.
"Why are we here then?" I asked.
"To bring you back to life, we need two people." She said.
"Who?" I questioned her.
"God and Satan." She told me.
"Both? Wow…how will they bring me back?" I asked.
"With ancient magic." She said and began walking towards a cave in the distance.
"Why would they agree though? I mean, I’m no-one special." I said, walking to catch up with her.
"No, but I have a feeling they will both want to help you anyway. They’d both understand." She told me.
The cave we entered was dark and cold. I shivered and pulled my jacket tighter around myself. I felt uneasy and slightly scared. But we were entering hell so I suppose it would have been strange if I didn’t feel that way. The judge led me through the darkness till we reached the exit. It wasn’t exactly bright at the end, but it was lighter than inside the cave. I was grateful for what little light there was. We approached a large old castle. The black gates stretched high into the amber sky, gargoyles guarded the worn out walls. I tried to block out the screams I could hear in the distance. Screams of eternal pain and suffering. It was almost impossible to ignore them. My hands grew into fists and I clenched them tightly. I couldn’t just hear them, it was as if I could feel them too. I closed my eyes for a moment as the judge opened the gates.
"Are you ok?" she asked me. I opened my eyes to see her staring at me concerned.
"Yes, I just..I can hear them." I choked on my words, feeling the tears building up.
"This place does have that effect on people, especially good people. Don’t worry, once we’re inside you won’t be able to hear them anymore." She said before gesturing me to go through the gates. I did so, walking slightly quicker than I was before so I could escape the screams. The judge was soon walking beside me, as we headed for a large wooden door with hundreds of locks on it. The judge knocked on the door and we waited.
"Who goes there?" a powerful male voice asked through the door.
"It is the judge." The judge told him.
"What do you want?" the voice questioned her.
"I have a proposition for you." She said, looking confident still.
"What kind of proposition?" he asked.
"It involves…love." She told him, slightly nervous now.
"Does it now…" suddenly the locks on the door began unlocking themselves. I took a step back and stared in awe. The door swung open and a rather short man stood behind it. He was half bald and wearing a long red robe that trailed on the ground.
"Well don’t just stand there, come on in." he said, I began to question if it was the same person that had spoke to us before. He sounded much less powerful and his voice had a much higher pitch. He led us into the castle, through a corridor, lit by floating candles above us. There was a long red carpet on the floor, leading to a door at the end. He opened the door once we reached it, to reveal something like an office. He sat on the other side of the table.
"Sit down." We sat. "What can I do for you?" he asked.
"This is Mara.." the judge looked at me as if she wanted me to introduce myself. I waved shyly. "She is in love with this m…"
"Oh shut up Margery. Good evening Mara. Please, tell me why you’re here." He said interrupting the judge.
"I…I erm, I’m in love with someone and I was hoping that…that maybe you could…help me." I managed to say. I felt so insignificant in his presents, I had no idea why though.
"I see. I see. So, why should I help you?" he asked me.
"Because…because, well, I love him and I can’t imagine an eternity without him." I said, biting my lip, nervous he’d say no.
"Hmmm," he stood up and started pacing. I looked over to the judge for help.
"Come on, do you really want to deny two people who love each other the chance to be together?" she asked him.
"No, but it is a lot to ask." He told us.
"Please…" I begged him.
"Fine. But, there is still a price." He said.
"Yes, yes. I know. I have it already, 20 souls yes?" the judge asked him, pulling a small container out of her pocket.
"What?! Souls?!" I asked in shock.
"Animal souls, Mara. Nothing too bad." She said handing the container over. I felt horrible. What was he going to do with them. I watched him place them into a shelf.
"I’m starting my own zoo." He told me. I was confused, Satan was starting a zoo? "I’ve always wanted one." He smiled. Then he walked over to a set of draws and pulled out a key from his pocket. He unlocked the top drawer and pulled out a tiny vile. "Here’s what you want. I take it you know who has the other half?" he asked us.
"Yes, we do. Thank you." The judge said, taking the vile from Satan.
We left the castle and began the long journey back through the cave.
"Well that was…not what I expected." I told the judge.
"Yes, Satan never is. He’s got soft over the years. Plus he’s a sucker for a love story." She told me.
"Where to now?" I asked her.
"God’s palace. It’s a long journey and I think he might be harder to crack than Satan. God likes to follow the rules." She told me. I had the first vile, I was one step closer to being with Niall again.
