True Colours

Louis rolled out of bed and showerd, wincing slightly. Harry never gave him time to heal properly. As a result, Louis was always in pain. Unlike most days, today he didn't scuttle to the kitchen and play maid to his boyfriend. No today he was going to see Niall. His leprechaun had been off for a while and the oldest was concerned. He scribbled a note for Harry and made his way to Ziall's flat. Not bothering to knock he just went in. What he was confronted with was shocking.

Niall was on the floor, sobbing as Zayn laid into him. The raven haired boy was screaming; Tell me the truth! At the blond.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" Louis screamed, dragging Zayn off the cowering, bleeding Irishman.

"Lou!" Zayn gasped horrified. "I swear it's not what it looks like."

Louis ignored him and knelt down beside Niall. "Every flat has a first aid box. You," His voice filled with contempt as he glared at Zayn, "Go fetch it. It should be in the bathroom."

Zayn hurried off and as soon as he gave Louis the first aid box the elder spat at him. "Get out of here." Zayn cringed at the disgust that laced his friends tone and left like he had a rocket up his arse. As soon as he was gone Louis held the still softly crying Niall. "Shh it's okay Nialler," He soothed. "What happened Ni?"

Niall sniffed. "I was talkin to Sean an Z came and took me phone an says I loved Sean an when I told 'im I dinnt he whacked me an called me a liar."

Louis had heard enough. Whispering words of comfort to Niall he made him take off his clothes so he could check for bruises. He let out a shocked gasp at the sight of Niall's pale torso littered with bruises. When he turned Niall around to examine his back he let out a shocked cry. Niall's back had welts that Louis knew were from a belt and ugly bruises.

"Oh Niall you poor thing." Louis grabbed the younger boy and gave him a gentle hug. "I'm gonna bandage you up, ok babe?"

Niall nodded weakly and let Louis tend to his wound. When Louis was done he sat the blonde down. "Niall, I want you to tell me how long this has been going on for. I want to know everything. Ok?" Niall nodded and told him everything from when Zayn pinned him to the wall all those weeks ago, too just before Louis came. When Niall was finished he was in tears. Louis looked at the blond and knew he could finally confide in someone about his own relationship.

"Niall, you are not alone. Trust me I'm in the same place as you."

Niall was quiet for a moment working out what Louis meant. His eyes went wide. "Oh my god. Louis does Harry hit you? " Louis nodded and the boys hugged.

It was at this moment that Harry and Zayn walked in.
