The Chaser

Summary

Infinite. A name the whole town is familiar with, a name all the girls are obsessed over. Kim Myungsoo. Part of Infinite, with this constant hobby of being a player. Park Hyemin. A girl who enters his world, in a way that he would never expect. With the memory of a horrible past, Myungsoo struggles with thoughts while grasping onto Hyemin, whose mind is caught between her daydreams and reality. With the sudden arrival of a new friend, how will their future turn out?

Chapter 1

SungGyu's P.O.V

I walked towards the school gate and spotted the same mob of fangirls. I tilted my head and tried to walk around them but before I could disappear into the school, one of them spotted me.

"It's Sunggyu oppa!" This girl excitedly shouted. The whole mob started running towards me and I almost slipped out of shock. "Sunggyu, can you sign my arm?" "Oppa, marry me!!" "Oppa I missed you, why didn't you come to school?"

Truth is, the reason I didn't come to school was because of these girls. I am so sick of them trying to bite my head off, and stealing my things. Sure, I was one of the most popular guys in school but I felt as if the word privacy has been ripped out of the dictionary.

"I'm so sorry." I said, extending my hand to a girl that tripped over some rock that I didn't see. She looked up and grabbed my hand, and pulled, making me fall on her.

"Let go!" I tried pulling away but she held on. I glanced around frantically. "Dongwoo!" I half shouted at a male figure also trying to escape from another mob of girls. He ran towards me and pulled the girl's hands off me. "I'm so sorry." I looked at her crestfallen face. I stood up and pulled the girl up too.

"I'll see you later." I tried grinning and it worked; she was all happy again.

We met the rest of Infinite by the lockers. "Okay so after everyone disperses," Sungyeol started, "we bail. I am so sick of seeing the same teachers and learning the same things. We're heading my house."

We waited a while more, while fending off other pesky girls that never seemed to go, and the bell finally rang. "Time guys." Myungsoo said as he slung his bag on and turning to the back gate, we left the school.

Chapter 2

HyeMin's P.O.V

"Mommmm." I whined. "Is this really necesaryyyyy?" My mother stopped her car outside the gates of Woolim High.

"Hyemin. Listen to me. For the last time, I have already completed the paperwork and ordered your school uniform. There is no point trying to back out now. Its too late."

Five months ago, my mother and I moved into this town as my father...well...let's say he is engaged to his assistant now. As my mom's work alone couldn't afford the rent for my previous house, we had to move into this new town as the rent was cheaper. And I didn't like it AT ALL. There were gangsters everywhere, making it unsafe to walk home alone at night. Graffiti was literally on every single inch of this town.
