Chapter Fourteen

I can't believe he kissed her. I know we aren't dating, but he acted like he liked me! Then he kissed her! I glare at the back of his head, hoping it will blow up. It's big enough to.

"So, how was the dance, son?" the family is sitting at the table, reading paper, talking, bla bla bla!

"It's was great, Luca. I met Courtney there." he shrugs and leans on the table.

"Ah yes, how is she?" he asks picking up a paper.

"Fine. She's very rude." he gives me a side glance and smiles.

"Val, that guy from-" Soifa starts, but looks at her parents, "The market wrote you and said he would like to meet you today."

Matthew wrote me! "Matthew?" I ask.

Doms knuckles turn white from his grip on the table, "That ugly boy who's probably just hoping your blood is as sweet as your nature?"

"Better then that gold digger you kissed that's name sounds like a type of hourse." I snap back.

Violett smiles at my bravery.

"At least she doesn't do inappropriate things, like asking a human to dance!" his voice is rising and he stands, facing me.

"No no no! Because kissing someone right infront of there date, yes date, is TOTALY fine!" I turn to Luca and Nella, "Yes, your son brought a human on a date, proud aren't you?"

Sofia and Violett start laughing but Dom just glares at me, "Why, are you jealous?"

"Oh yes!" I mock, "I wish I was kissing you! Oh, but wait, I have Matthew." I put my hands on my hips.

"You'll be lucky if that tweet gets through a conversation without him biting you."

"Thanks for the luck." I smile than add, "Dominic."

He shakes with anger, "You know, I should be wishing him luck, it's hard enough to get through a conversation with you, but a whole date?!"

"I can't belive Courtney could actually kiss you, I mean to stand close to you is one thing, but to touch you is like totally another!"

He laughs a evil laugh, "Like you didn't wish it were you."

"Pu-lease! I envied the people who were in the ball, standing far away from you."

He walks to the door but looks back at me, "Have fun on your date with Matthew, maybe you should tell him that you created a whole other person just to be close to me."

I feel the color drain from my face and my feet slip from under me, luckily Violett catches me and pulls me up right. He knew? For how long?

"And you see, I didn't even know for sure until right now? That's funny isn't it, Vana?" he smiles at me and walks away.

"I'm sure Courntey would love to know that you fell in love with a human!" I scream after him.

"How did you know I was in love with you?" he growls, looking at Sofia.

"And you see," I mimick his voice and walk over to him, "I didn't even know for sure until right now. That's funny isn't is, lover boy?" I poke his chest and grin.

"Like you don't love me too." he smirks. I see Angelo walk in.

"Nope, you see, lover boy, I only fall for my own kind." I walk over to Angelo and rap my arm around his shoulder, "And he loves me too."

"Just go with it." I mutter in his ear.

"Like you like him more than me! Sure sure!" he laughs.

Nella and Luca get up and quickly leave, Sofia darts away, scared at where this is going, and Violett had left a whole ago.

"I do. But it must be hard to get over me after drawing all those pictures of me. Then breaking up with 'me' to be able to be with 'me', what a ride!" I put my hand to my forehead and yawn.

"Well, well, well," he bites his lip, "Sue me, I love you!" he shouts and storms away. I laugh at him, than realize what he just said.

"I love you too." I mutter. I know he didn't hear, but that's all right.

Angelo opens his mouth, than closes it. He smiles and leaves. I shrug and skip back to my room. Sofia's not here, but I want to be alone anyway. I sit on the bed. Dom just said he loved me? Dom just said he loved me. DOM JUST SAID HE LOVED ME! And I love him.

It's all just going perfect!

"Valerie, letter for you." Adele slips a letter under the door.

And then there's Matthew. I guess I'll have to break it up with him.

I open the letter.

'Keep your grubby human hands off Dominic, he's mine. Courtney.' I laugh at the letter. You see, I don't get intimated by creepy little girls.

"Val?" I giggle at the voice. His voice is just so perfect.

"Yes lover boy?" I open the door.

"Um, I'm sorry. I don't know if I hurt your feelings or whatever,but I'm sorry. I didn't mean any of it." he smiles and steps into the room.

"Not even the part where you said you love me?" I lean against the door frame.

He blushes and scratches the back of his neck, "Not most of it."

"Aw, it's ok!" I hug him. He stiffens, then puts his arms around me. "You are pretty awesome so it should be a compliment to be loved by you, I guess!"

He smirks, "So, do you really love Angelo?"

I shake my head.

"And, are you really Vana?"

I nod and blush, "Sorry about that."

He shrugs, "She was annoying anyway."

"Hello!" I gap.

He punches my shoulder and walks away. "Boys."
