Narrator's pov

"You're gonna get us kicked out" Gabrielle chuckled as she pulled the door shut
"How am I going to get you kicked out of the car?"
"Because the driver-" the singer said before pointing to the front seat where a man nodded his head slightly
"Could toss us out"
"I'm sure this fine gentleman over here wouldn't mind if I held my girl a little while now would he?" Ember smirked at the man
"No no, not at all" The man said before pressed his feet on the gas
But when Ember turned to face the singer, to her surprise she was flushed red blushing
"What?" she asked
"You um. You called me y-your girl" Gabrielle whispered, tilting her head low to avoid those green orbs
Ember chuckled before bringing the tip of her finger to Gabrielle's chin, tilting the girl's head to face her own
A soft and tender kiss pressed against her lips firmly, lingering for a few second but it was enough to draw them into another realm
It was as if Ember saw her for the first time. That fire in her bones lit up her soul and brought meaning back into her heart
For she was making the right decision in her life, even if everything else was turning to hell
"So, where are you taking me?" The brunette questioned
"You'll see when we get there"
"I swear if we go to a fancy dinner, I'm suing you" She said
"And why's that?"
"Do I look like a boring 40 year old who fucks their secretary and a dinner is the only way to make it up to their wife?"
"Th-thats very descriptive, should I be worried?" Gabrielle questioned
"Yes dear, I'm fucking the secretary and you can have the kids" Ember smirked earning a fake gasp from the blonde
"But GEORGE! Who's going to pay for my monthly botox!?" Gabrielle pouted
"I don't know Bethany, ask the pool guy that you screw around with in OUR bed" Ember playfully glared
"Don't make this about me! You're the one who needs Viagra!"
"Ouch, why would you think I'd need Viagra if I was a man!" Ember chuckled, breaking character
"YOU BROKE CHARACTER" Gabrielle squealed
"IM SORRY IT WAS JUST FUNNY"
"YEAH IT WAS"
"WHY ARE WE SHOUTING"
"I DON'T KNOW" the two girls chuckled
It was times like these that Ember felt at peace with herself, knowing she finally gave herself the opportunity to open up and change
It took energy to forgive the blonde but it took something else in her to agree to continue
It takes strength to put your feelings aside and allow someone to show you the best of them
And the way things were going, she knew she wasn't going to kick herself in the foot the next day
Maybe Gabrielle was being completely honest, it was noticeable how much the girl was glancing over at her and blushing before turning away. But one thing was for sure
