It was spring.

Beautiful pink flowers of sakura had bloomed all over the way.

When we were walking under the cherry blossoms, going back home from school.

There were some puddles on the road, where the pink flowers got reflected.

You extended your hand out to catch a falling petal. And told me,

"It's five centimetres per second."

I got confused.

You smiled.

"The speed of drifting away of a petal from its cherry blossom, is five centimetres per second."

You sure knew a lot about this kind of stuff.

I watched you twirl with your pink umbrella as you reached on the other side of the road.

I heard the signal bell go off.
The black and yellow bars lowered down.

The sound of a speeding vehicle entered my ears. I called out your name.

"YOONGI!!"

The train passed between us rapidly.
Blocking you out of my view.

The sound of the rails were deafening.
Still I was sure you must have heard me.

The train had gone.
But you stood there.

Waiting for me.

"Let's watch the cherry blossoms together again next year, Jimin."
