Calum:
"Check out the brunette over there. She's a definite 8."
"Mmm, I'd say 7.5"
"6." I said nonchalantly and shrugged, angling slightly more against the step. "I don't go for the whole plastic surgery look." It was true. She almost looked as though she had had a boob job, and her nose looked out of place. Her bleach blonde hair was miles away from natural and skin didn't come in that color orange.
Michael stared at me like I had gone insane. We were lounging on the front steps of the school, waiting for the bell to ring. And a great way to pass the time was to rate the new girls.
"You have got to be kidding me, I'd give her a nine." He whined, and I peered at him over my shades.
"That's because you literally cannot control yourself and would take anything that breathes and has two legs to bed." I replied and Luke and Ashton laughed.
"It's the truth. Accept it." Ash said and Michael glared before finishing his stupid Starbucks drink. He was such a white boy.
Luke perked up and gaze into the crowd. "Hot blonde, to the left."
I looked out as well, and couldn't quite see who he was talking about.
"Oh that one? She's a redhead twat." Ash replied and then I understood.
"She's strawberry blonde, and yeah, she's actually fairly nice looking." And boy she was. A little short, not too curvy, just enough to how it's there. She had long, curled hair that fell past her shoulders. I couldn't see her eyes from here, but I could see the freckles dusted across her cheekbones and nose. She was adorable... But gorgeous at the same time. She looked out of place in the crowd, wearing skinny jeans and plaid shirt rather than the skimpy mini skirt and tank-top duo around us. She desperately trying to figure out a map an I couldn't help but snicker.
"I'll giver her an 8." I said, finishing my scrutiny.
Michael feigned shock, placing a hand over his heart. "What? Calum Hood rating a girl above a 6? Why, it's unheard of! Someone get that girl over here, it's love at first sight!" I rolled my eyes and grabbed a sip from Luke's Soda. I caught Ash's grin right before he opened his mouth.
"I swear don't you dare catcall Irwin-"
"Oi!" He called out and it was too late. The girl looked up from her map, and I knew I was screwed.
...
Abbi:I looked up from my stupid, unreadable map and towards the direction of the shout. To my surprise.. I found 4 boys looking straight at me. I glanced behind me to see if they were looking/talking to someone else, but unfortunately there wasn't anyone.
"That's right. You!" The same boy called and it took me a minute to get used to the Australian accent. I had just moved to Sydney from Texas, it takes a bit of adjusting. He then motioned for me to come over. I sighed, maybe they'd be able to help me find my way around at least.
I walked towards them, staring each one down. The one who called me was slightly cute, but then again, they all were. This one in particular had curly brown hair and a humorous glint in his eye. The one next to him had blonde hair raised to the level of the heavens with hair gel. On the step above sat a kid with bright blue hair and an unruly smirk. But the one that caught my attention was the one sitting in the middle on the bottom step. I think he was Asian, but I couldn't tell for sure with the sunglasses over his eyes. He had dark hair with blonde streaks in with a nice defined jawline. I'm not gonna lie, they were all pretty dang hot.
"Can I help you?" I asked and immediately the boy's face lit up from hearing my slight, very very slight, southern accent.
"She's American!" The blonde one said and The Asian one, (I dubbed him Sunglasses) smirked. I rolled my eyes and sighed. The blue haired one, bluey, smiled evilly, and whispered, "oh I'm sure you can help me with something."
I immediately shot him a sugar coated grin. "Oh yeah, I can help you take care of your little dick. All you'll need is to take it all out of your personality." He sat back, stunned, while the other Aussies howled with intense laughter.
"I like her." The brunette said. He had cheeky dimples and a red bandana tied around his head. Sunglasses gave me what I guess could be an approving look, while blondie grinned. I began to feel a little uncomfortable, I don't do compliments well.
"Yes, yes, we all do." I said and glared. They laughed all seemed to lean a little closer.. Or was that my imagination? "Now, if one of y'all-"
"Y'all?" Blondie said with a laugh, and soon the joined in again. I sighed and leaned on a column nearby. This would take a while.
"Mhmm. As in a contraction for you all. Now, if we could get over the amazement of me, and help me find my way, that'd be great." I replied with scowl and a touch of sarcasm. Sunglasses stood up and offered me an apologetic smile.
"Sorry, we just don't get people from overseas that often. Where do you need to go?"
"English.. Mrs. Hewn?"
He flashed me a grin. "Lucky for you that's Luke's class, he'll take you I'm sure." Luke, the blond one that he gestured to, smiled at me. He seemed nice enough.
"Thanks." I said and shouldered my bag a little more, tapping on it lightly, a little nervously.
"Allow me to introduce us. I'm Calum, that's Michael, that's Ashton, and you heard Luke's name." Sunglasses-Calum said and pointed at each boy in turn. Then bluey, Michael, stood up and offered a hand to shake. Gingerly, I took it.
"Now what may we call you?" He asked a slight mischievous grin in his eye as we shook.
"Call me Abbi." I replied with a small grin. I guess I had found some okayish friends after all.
...
Luke:
Be cool. You can do it. You can walk her to class. I thought, and repeated my mantra to myself. But before I completed my goal, there was something I needed to do.
"Abbi.. I like it." I told her with a confident lazy grin. "Head through the doors and I'll come in, in just a sec." She glanced oddly at me, then shrugged, shouldering her blue back-pack she was only wearing one strap of.
"Ok, don't take too long." She replied before striding away. I watched her leave, admiring the back of her, knowing the other boys were probably doing the same.
"Damn." Michael said in a somewhat dreamy sigh, and then we all stared at each other for a tense moment before shouting in unison,
"DIBS."
Crap.
