CHYRON: BLACK

We zoom out from Jane's eyes rather slowly.
                    NARRATOR (O.S)
She was fair. Bright green eyes with a
hint of brown as the sun hit her. Her
smile was as smooth as the wind on
your face. She was an introvert, spent
most of her time in her room, staring
at the stars on her ceiling.
Intercut between the zoom out and zoom in to the stars on the
ceiling.
                    NARRATOR (O.S)
They glowed not just in the darkness
but glowed even when the white walls
seemed too opaque to see anything. She
collected the stars from the sky, she
collected them every time things did
not feel right.

CHYRON: BLACK

                   NARRATOR (O.S)
All of us wish we could actually just
reach out into the blackness and steal
a star, but alas, we cannot. She,
however, was special, in her own
unique way.

EXT. JANE'S FLAT. DAY

Jane is walking out of her apartment. POV angle.
                             JANE
                   (Looking back)
Haa 11:30 bahar jaana hai. Okay?

She turns around as she walks out and BAM! she bumps into
someone. The two women get up and dust themselves and look at
each other with a smiles on their faces.

                            JANE
                        (Smiling)
                 Hey...

                          MERIN
                 Hi...

                           JANE
                How-...what are you...

Merin eagerly waits for Jane to complete her sentence.

                           JANE
                What are you doing here?

                         MERIN
Oh erm...I just know someone here.

Jane notices the chocolate with a bow in Merin's hand.

                           JANE
Ohh wow you got them skittles. How
cute.

                         MERIN
(Lifts up the box of skittles)
Well...I know you like em so stop
eyeing it!!

                            JANE
Trust me I'm fighting an impulse to
steal a skittle!

The two of them have a chuckle. There is an awkward silence.

                        MERIN
                  How's mom?

                           JANE
She's great!! I heard you stopped
sketching. The one thing she always
looks forward to and now you stopped
that as well.

                        MERIN
Well I didn't 'stop' stop but like I
just got carried away with you know
work and then there's...

Jane waits for Merin to complete her sentence.

                        MERIN
       I'm...leaving...tomorrow.

                         JANE
Oh...is it that time already? (Nervous
laugh)
