Upon arriving in Konoha, Kiba turned to Sigyn and apologized with tear stained eyes. "I'm sorry Sigy-chan but we'll have to reschedule our date." He was holding Akamaru tenderly in his arms. "I have to tend to him. I can't ever let him get hurt like this again." He whispered
Sigyn gave him a sympathetic look. She placed her hand gently on the dogs back and gave him a tender stroke. "I understand." She softly spoke. Looking into Kiba's dark eyes, she gave him a small smile. "He'll be ok. Don't worry." The boy only nodded and proceeded to head home.
As everyone said their goodbyes with defeat evident on their faces, Sigyn turned to Gaara and halfheartedly smiled. "I'm sorry we couldn't spend time together in better circumstances. But, well, I'll take what I can get." She sadly smiled. The red-head nodded in understanding but offered no reply. "Uh, I should go clean up and maybe get something to eat." She paused for a moment before continuing. "If you don't mind me asking, when exactly are you leaving?
"Tomorrow morning." Gaara responded with his eyes never leaving her form.
"That's what I thought." She sadly mumbled.
Before either of them could say anything else, Temari and Kankuro had just arrived at their younger brothers' side. Kankuro chimed in, "How about we stay tomorrow to do some sight seeing. We can leave the following day? Honestly I'm kinda tired and want a day to relax before we head back home.
"I would say no but, I would like to see Konoha a little more." Temari joined in
"Oh yeah, Konoha, rrriiiggghhhttt, or do you mean that smart guy, Shikamaru?" Kankuro teased his sister. The blond girl blushed bright red but dismissed him
"Absolutely not! He annoys me! I want nothing to do with him." She gazed away from her brothers
"Yeah, so that's why you accepted his invitation to the hot springs with him next time, night?" Kankuro continued to pester her
"What?! No! That was simply to relax and talk about our intentions. He doesn't believe we really are trying to form an alliance with Konoha. This is strictly business." Temari huffed as Kankuro rolled his eyes. "What do you say Gaara?" She asked her youngest sibling.
Gaara was silent for a moment, taking into consideration what his siblings had said. A hot spring bath did sound nice to him. However, they really should be gathering their belongings, to prepare for their journey back home. He sighed.
"If it's alright with you," Sigyn interrupted his thoughts. "I'd really like to show you around. A hot spring bath does sound great. Besides, I can't see Naruto-kun right now. Nor Neji or Chouji. They're in the hospital so, the soonest I might be able to pay a visit is tomorrow morning. I'm sure Naruto-kun would like to thank you personally for assisting us in the mission." She blushed when she realized she had been lost in Gaara's sea-foam eyes.
A slight smirk graced his handsome features and he nodded. "Alright. We'll stay one more day."
"Aww yeah, hot springs!" Kankuro stretched out his arms and Temari rolled her eyes.
-.-.-. The next morning-.-.-.-.-
Sigyn woke from her bed bright and early and headed straight to the bathroom to ready herself. After her shower and brushing her teeth, headed to her closet to pick out something to wear. She had nothing scheduled today, other than visiting her friends and making sure they were alright. Sigyn decided on a dark purple oversized sweater, a light blue flowing skirt, black leggings and some black closed-toed ninja sandals. She decided instead of her hair in its usual braids, to leave it lose. Her hair cascaded down to her mid back in long ringlets. She didn't not wear make-up. She wasn't trying to impress anyone and besides, Naruto would probably tease her for it.
