As Taylor walked through the door of the house that she shared with her girlfriend, she noticed how unusually quiet it was. All the lights were dimmed, and only the noise of their vinyl player could be heard. As Taylor walks towards it she finally picks up on what song is playing. God, she's adorable. She reaches over to the vinyl and chuckles when her suspicions are quickly confirmed. Karlie was listening to her album Folklore. Or she had been at least. She decides to leave it on as 'This is me trying' began playing softly. Taylor was on a mission after all; she needed to find out where her girlfriend was.

She began walking toward the kitchen when she felt something brush against her leg. "Hi Dibbles, I missed you today. I know it's late already but do you know where Kar is?" Oliva purred softly and Taylor smiled, knowing Oliva didn't understand but happy she still made the effort to answer her. She pets Olivia's head a couple more times and then actually starts her search. The kitchen was as empty and even though she expected it, she was still slightly disappointed that Karlie wasn't here. But needing nothing more than a hug from her girlfriend, she turns the kitchen light ack off and makes her way up to the bedroom. And here as well it was quiet. No soft puffs of possible breathing, no rustling from the blanket, nothing. A soft pout was creeping up Taylor's face as she continued to look for Karlie, without success.

After was felt like an eternity she saw light coming from the backyard. After putting her shoes back on she slides open the door and walks towards the source of light. As she got closer she could see a tall silhouette leaning against the tree, book in hands. As soon as Taylor is close enough to actually see Karlie's face, she takes a minute to admire her girlfriend. She looked absolutely gorgeous, even with the little amount of light the fairy lights produced.

Taylor remembers the day She had hung the lights like it was yesterday. It was their first anniversary and Taylor had surprised Karlie with a picnic under the beautiful cherry tree that stood tall in the backyard. Karlie had hugged her like there was no tomorrow and even shed a few tears at the gesture. Taylor could only smile and tell her she was welcome because this honestly never felt like enough. Karlie has been the most incredible girlfriend, and Taylor felt like she could never do too much or too big because there really were no things she could do or say that could come even close to what she was feeling.

As Taylor was deep in thought Karlie had finally picked up on someone's presence and smiled to herself. She had been waiting the entire day for Taylor to come home because just like Taylor, she could really use a hug from her girl. So, Karlie closes her book and stands up, which finally brings Taylor back to reality. For a while, they just stare at each other, happy to see one another after a long day of missing their other half. But Taylor realizes quickly she's actually home, and before Karlie can even open her mouth, the shorter blond launches herself in her girlfriend's arms. Slightly taken aback by the force of the hug Karlie stumbles backward but is quick to put her arms around her girl. "I missed you", Taylor mumbled, as Karlie starts kissing her everywhere on her face. "I missed you more", Karlie smiled in between kisses. Taylor smiles at the pout on her girlfriend's face when she pulls away. " I just wanted to kiss you properly baby, stop looking at me like you're a lost puppy.", she cooed. Karlie tries to keep her pout on her face but Taylor sees she's biting back a smile. "So, what are you waiting for then" The taller girl whines, receiving a laugh from her girlfriend in return. After only a couple of seconds, that felt like hours to Karlie, Taylor's tough act crumbles. She finally kissed Karlie, who was more than excited to finally feel her girl's lips against hers. And as they stood there in the backyard of their home, surrounded by fairy lights and the stars they realized that they found it. They had found everything they could've dreamed of. They found each other. They found love.
