Chapter 2

"You're probably going to be stuck here for a while you know."

"My brother would never allow me to be kept down here for long."

"You mean the mortal with the metal arm?"

"Yes."

Loki snickered.
"I doubt he has much say in the matter."

I raised an eyebrow at him.
"He seems just as much an Avenger as the rest."

"Only because his friend saved him."

"Excuse me?"
My tone raised at the dark haired god.

"Ohh, so they didn't tell you."

"You'd better start talking."

Loki pursed his lips and chuckled.
"Oooo, or what?"

I stood up and went in front of him, arms crossed and staring him down. He towered above me but I wasn't phased.
"You have information about my brother so give me it."

He chuckled again, folded his arms and bent down to look me in the eye.
"Or what, Mortal?"

I could feel my anger bubble and my eyes begin to focus.
"Or I'll knock you clean through that wall."

He laughed and grinned, standing up straight with his arms crossed.
"So it is true."
I angrily squinted at his words.
"Quite the little fireball with your powers hmm? I'd love to see you try."

I growled in response and just as I was about to poke him for more answers, I heard a door open and in came Bucky. He was accompanied by basically everyone from before. Tony, Rogers, Nat and Wanda. Thor had also decided to come back to.

I calmed down and backed away from Loki, leaving him with nothing but a smirk on his face.

"We need you to demonstrate what you're capable of. We need to judge your danger level in case Hydra did manage to impact your mind."
Nat said matter-of-factly.

"You don't need to worry about that. They said they couldn't impact my mind, that's why I was put on ice. Their experiment was a glorious success, but they couldn't control me."

"Why?"

I shrugged.
"Probably something to do with my power."

"What actually is your power? You never told us."
It was nice to hear my brother's voice, it was soft and non-accusatory compared to everyone else.

"I have the ability to control wavelengths. At least that's what those scientists said."

"Control wavelengths?"
He asked confused.

I nodded.
"At the moment I'm aware that I can vibrate the air in different ways, control/create sound and light. That's the tests they performed, they said gravity and magnets were the next step but they never got that far. When I focus my eyes the way I see the entire world changes. I can physically see those waves."

"That actually sounds pretty cool."
Tony responded.

"And incredibly dangerous."
Rogers also responded.
"What I don't understand is how they weren't able to impact your mind."

"When my power awakened I felt different, almost like I was whole. My mind also felt stronger, and each session I practiced my power I could just feel it getting stronger."

"Sounds like your power created a mental barrier that Hydra were unable to crack, if it's true."
Always seems to be Nat who's accusatory.

I sighed.
"What is it going to take to get you guys to understand I'm not a threat? All I wanted was to see my brother, and now I'm being treated like I just walked up and murdered him."

Loki laughed from beside me.
"Oh I wouldn't bet on convincing this lot. You came here the same time I did."

"Sounds like you're the root of my problem then."
I scowled at Loki.

"You wound me Cassandra. We've only just met and you already think so low of me?"
I could tell by the smirk on his face and the tone of his voice that he wasn't serious and was in fact enjoying every second of this, much to my annoyance.

"We should take her and Loki outside so she can show us what she's capable of."
Finally, Wanda spoke and it had sense to it.

"I'm down to do that, maybe Loki will even get in the crossfire."
I cheekily grinned at Loki and he just smirked in response.

....

They led Loki and myself out into the field, keeping Loki shackled.

"Show us your stuff."
Tony said with anticipation in his voice.

I nodded and focused my eyes. I decided I would start off small, as I walked I manipulated the sound waves so that where I was walking was completely silent but sounded as if I was walking behind them.

Next I bent the light around me to basically turn invisible. I didn't keep it like that for long though because no doubt they'd accuse me of running.

Finally I vibrated the air into the most concise ball in my hand I possibly could, touched the ground and made a crater that looked like a shell had gone off.

I turned around and bowed.
"Enjoy the show?"

"That's quite Impressive."
Tony remarked. Everyone was in agreement while Loki seemed to have a small smile on his face.

"Who knew? My little sister's a badass."
Bucky grinned.

"There's one more thing, I'm also able to heal using sound."
They all looked at me confused.
"Here let me show you."
I walked closer to them and held out my hand.
"I'm going to need a knife to prove it. Don't worry, I'll use Loki as an example."
I grinned at Loki and he was just scowling, like he does at everyone else or when he thinks I'm not looking.

"This I've got to see."
Nat almost chuckled while handing my a knife.

I grabbed Loki's hand and sliced across it deeply, he hissed through his teeth. I handed Nat the knife back and clasped Loki's hand in both of mine, while leaving myself just enough space to see the wound.

I'd assume if he wasn't a God, he'd be bleeding out fast with how deep I made it. I focused my eyes and focused on the frequency of his body. Everyone's body works at a specific frequency and Loki's, despite his character, was actually incredibly in tune but also soothing and calming.

It took a bit longer than I'd liked but I harmonized my power with his body, the wound slowly but surely knitting together until there wasn't even a scar.

"See? Good as new."
I smiled and backed away from Loki, his eyes were showing something I yet again couldn't understand.

He was an enigma, he seemed so different to everyone else and every other man I've met. He was a puzzle, and I wanted to solve it.

"Now that's awesome!"
Bucky grinned and hugged me tight.

"I think we can trust her now. She could be an asset."
Rogers smiled approvingly.

"I'll still keep a close eye on her for the time being."
Nat said.
"Now what about him?"
She nodded to Loki.

"He's irritating but I don't think he's here to hurt anyone."
I decided to add in my opinion.

"Warming up to me already?"
He grinned.

"Or maybe I'll just take that back so I don't have to listen to your irritating comments."

"Cassandra is right. Plus with the way our luck is, we're going to need all the help we can get."
Rogers added.

"I'll keep an eye on my brother then."
Thor added and released Loki from his shackles.

"Oh how Wonderful."
Loki responded sarcastically.

I'm actually having a lot of fun writing this and have high hopes for how this will turn out!

I'm still working on the pacing and have some later chapters written already, just need to think of the best timing!
