nobody wants to read a book without a title. nobody wants to read a book with a boring title. nobody wants to read a book with a long title
simple and/or well thought out titles can help your book grow [examples below]
the key to coming up with your titles is to make it explain your book without revealing anything
your titles can be influenced by anything from song lyrics/titles , diseases/manias/phobias , any random word that correlates with your book
heres some examples of titles :
topic related
- sucker for pain
- error 404
- quiet storm
- hello, goodbyesvocabulary word
- dacomania
- melomaniac
- autophobia
- dipsomaniasong related
- i choose you
- you got me
- 3am
- catch the sunif you want to use words like 'horror' or 'magic' in your title you could use a synonym instead. those words are commonly used in titles and will make your story harder to discover
horror syn. - consternation
death syn. - euthanasia
magic syn. - necromancy
high syn. - wasted
in love syn. - aphrodisiac➤ add more synonyms in the comments here
and this aint a twitter thread so make sure your titles aren't things like :
- dating my killer
- my imaginary boyfriend
- my abusive boyfriendtitles like these give away the whole story and push away readers like me. i want to go into a story and be surprised, not know the ending off the bat

I personally like to have my book title on my cover (i can make a yt video on how i make my covers if you want)
you can use face claims on your covers or you can just use a pinterest picture that fits the vibe
[iloveuihateu , theshotaz , msslatt ; good pinterest pages]make sure to not junk up your cover ! the only things that are really needed are the title and your username. you dont actually have to write anything up there
i make my covers with picsart & heres an example :

in case you missed 6th grade ; a plot is the sequence of events that make up a story
you dont want to have a predictable or overused plot. however you do want to have a plot that will leave the reader on the edge of their seat
write things that you would read and dont worry about 'if other people would read it' because you're most likely not the only one out there who would read it
the best stories are the ones that you are interested in/ have knowledge on/ put the most effort into, so write what you like
i would say that preplanning and making rough drafts will save your life when it comes to having a reliable plot
i would also recommend that you write out your whole story before you put out any chapters. if you have your whole story finished you can steadily release chapters and you wont be rushing to write because 'people are waiting'
