A special grades been killed, now we wait for Itadori to return safely.

A low husky voice rings through my ears, sending shivers down my back, "yeah sorry, he's not coming back." I freeze as a small gust of wind blows past my back.

"W-what?"

"I said he's not coming back, Megumi. No need to be scared, I just want to chat for a bit." Foot steps trail around me until they stop just a few feet away from me. Itadori's body is covered in tattoo like markings, it's not Itadori.

"He had it coming, and now it looks like he's having trouble coming back."

He has the face of a friend, one just met, but a friend nevertheless. But, he's a vessel, a vessel of something terrifying. All because of a finger my friend foolishly ate. Now what resides in him is something feared, detested, and hazardous. Idatori Yuji, is the vessel of Sukuna Ryomen. They share one body, yet couldn't be any more different.

Sukuna raises his hands to his chest and rips the fabrics laying there. "So..." He says while raising his hand once again, "I've been thinking if the different ways of doing this!"

Sukuna's hand lunges into his chest, blood splattering, yet no reaction from the man, just a smile filled with blood.

I stand there in shock. "What are you doing?" I say as my voice cracks a little.

The man before me pulls his hand out, more blood splattering in all directions, looking like a blood bath.

No, that can't be!

Sukuna's holding the heart of Itadori. "I'm taking him as hostage."

"What do you mean?"

"See... I can live without this. But the brat can't." He says as he tosses the heart on the grass as if it were a tennis ball.

"Switching out with me, means he dies. Oh and also..." The man covered in marks raises is hand holding a finger, his own finger from the past. "For good measure," he puts the finger in his mouth, and swallows it whole.

Sukuna's finger. That special grade spirt in there must've swallowed it without anyone knowing! Damn! Now Sukuna has it!

"Now, you can be frighten because! I'm about to kill you for the hell of it."

"And just like that, our positions have been reversed..." I say as I plant and stager my feet firmly to the ground, and hold my hand up ready to fight. "Itadori will come back even if he dies. That's just who he is."

"You give him too much credit! He's just a little tougher and a whole lot denser than most human beings are. You should have seen him earlier, he was terrified and babbling on an on about nonsense. The guy doesn't have the guts to kill himself!"

I feel myself glare.

His left hands been restored! Hm... Even though he can live without a heart, it's still gotta be damaging to him. I'll have to convinc him to heal that heart before Itadori comes back!

My hands shakes before I spread my hands wide, and my thumbs intertwine. A giant bird shikigami, Nue, is summoned as I run towards Sukuna.

"Man doesn't it feel good to he outside! Let's use all of this open space!" Sukuna says while running his hand through his hair and swiftly dodging any of my attacks.

I punch, I kick, but no dice. I'm not landing a hit on him.

"How interesting, you can use your shikigami, but you still come at me yourself." He smirks down at me as said shikigami is trying it's best to land a blow on Sukuna just as much as I am.

Sukuna grabs my hand mid punch and nearly pulls me in face to face, "put more curse behind it!" He shouts before blowing me away with his own attack, "when you strike me!" A cynical smile makes its way into his face.

"Orochi!" I shout. A giant snake shikigami appears and grabs Sukuna by the torso, hoisting him high in the air.

"Gang up in him now!"

Nue, the bird shikigami, starts attacking with sparks coming from it's wings, desperately trying to his Sukuna, yet the man is still dodging despite being held by Orochi.

Orochi starts to pulsate, and in an instant he's destroyed. His head bubbled, and exploded, the rest of his body crumbles away.

Something grabs the fabric in my back, rather tightly.

"Now... What did I say?" I get yanked and thrown into the air. "When fighting me?!"

I open my eyes for a moment, only to see the dark rainy skies and Sukuna.

He kicks mid air, shooting me across the roofs of buildings, and right when I'm air born, punches me into the side of one.

I feel myself ram through pillars and brick, and eventually shoot out the side of the building I'm flying through, only to be caught by Nue.

It's not even a matter of jujutsu. His power and strength are on a different level!

My eyesight starts to blur as I look behind myself, Sukuna still following.

"That's a nice technique there!" Sukuna holds his two fists together and shoots Nue and I out of the air.

We tumble onto some bricks, Nue surrounds me with one of it's wings as I sit there.

Now what? I used up one of my shikigami. Demon dog and the others are already destroyed. And Nue's at his limit.

I place a hand on Nue's head.

I should release him before he gets destroyed to.

Nue fades away.

"I get it now, you use the shadows for your shikigami." Sukuna says.

"So? What's it to ya'?" I ask. Sukuna holds his chin with one hand, almost with a relaxed face compared to the ones he's been making, and hums.

What is he thinking?

"There's just one thing I don't get. Why did you run back then? Kind of a waste of talents." He says with a smirk.

I pay no mind to it and stay silent, "oh whatever, either way that certainly won't be enough to fix this." He says while pointing to the gaping hole in his chest.

So he's figured it out?

"This punk isn't even worth saving if you ask me."

I stand up, reminiscing about the time Itadori asked why I saved him.

The only thing granted equally to all, is an unfair reality.

A/N

Sup, so this is the book I was talking about. To be honest this won't have as frequent updates at Brain Dead does, and the chapter isn't as long. But here you go! I recommend reading the description first if you want a feel for where the story is heading. This starts around episode 5 of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Hope you enjoyed your stay in this chapter!
