we were getting closer to the pack house and I was beginning to panic. Would my pack ridicule me in front of my mate? Would Alana think low of me because of how terrible they had treated me in the past. I could see the pack house coming into view and I started to fiddle with the hem of my shirt. Ronnie was standing at the front of the house to greet me and the others. I took a deep breath before exiting the car and confidently making my way to him. when I reached him, he broke down into tears so I reached out and pulled him into a tight hug. We stood there for a while whilst he cried on my shoulder and I rubbed his back soothingly. It was heartbreaking to see the pack fighter and one of the toughest men I knew crying over his mate. Not being able to stop it, the tears that I had been trying to hold began to fall. sniffling, I pulled away from him whilst wiping my face clean, the pack needs me right now. I turned to the others and saw that they had brought all of the bags out of the car so I motioned for them to follow me, Ronnie automatically fell in step behind me and began to tell me everything that I had missed.

"Mickey had been stressed for a couple of days but he wouldn't tell anyone why, I thought that it was because he was stressed filling the Alpha duties but I was wrong. The day they were attacked, I had an argument with Mick because he had been so busy. we hadn't even been sleeping together lately, he shrugged me off and told me that he was going on a run and I had to patrol. their screams were so loud, I keep hearing it over and over again"

"did you say screams, wasn't Mickey on a run"

he nodded his head and continued "when we found them, there was blood everywhere. There was no sign of anyone else, apart from your father and Mickey. when we got them into the infirmary, I decided to search your office as I was acting Alpha. I managed to find letters from an anonymous person, they were threatening the pack and your mate but I am confused since you haven't found your mate"

Mickey had been arguing with his mate because of me, it was my fault because I made him promise not to tell anyone. But why was my father there as well, did he get caught in the crossfire or did Mickey tell him. I turned to Ronnie and told him that I had indeed found my mate and I had told Mickey not to tell anyone. Ronnie stayed quiet, so I told him to go to the infirmary and sit with Mickey and I would meet him shortly. I lead the others towards the guest rooms, I pointed to three different room and told them to pick which ones they would like. they all looked at me in confusion before Drew spoke.

"why are there three rooms, I want to share with Sam. he is my mate after all"

"you think I would let you share a room with Sam, you constantly picked on him. caused him to have panic attacks and you made him feel useless. so again why would I let you share a room with him"

they all stared at me apart from Sam, shocked at my outburst. I don't know why they were so surprised, they didn't have to worry if he was going to come home with bruises or worse. I will never liked Drew, Sam was like a brother to me and anyone that hurt my family hurt me. I looked at Sam and I could see that he was torn on what to say, I know that he may have sorted things out with his mate by the way they acted in the car but he was still hurt from what Drew had done. Sam looked at me and told me that he wanted a room on his own and I could tell that it hurt Drew but he never said a word, he turned and walked towards the furthest room and slammed the door shut. I sighed and turned towards Sam.

"I still want to talk later, alright?"

Sam nodded and went into the room next to Drews, before closing the door quietly. Turning around I was going to start walking but I remembered that Alana still hadn't gone into the guest room, I looked at her in question and she blushed bright red and my wolf growled loving her reaction to us.
