Monday. A very hated word for a lot of people, well, almost everyone, today it meant that people had to get up early to go to school, or for adults, work, and for luckier adults, it meant time to patrol the cities.
Today was no different of course, in the very edge of the planet earth, the sun shined his light over it. Slim, warm rays of sun engulfed the state of California, more specifically in San Diego. As the light of the Solar System's star quickly engulfed the darkness that the moon had brought, a loud, booming noise could be heard from the lower part of the city, followed by a bone rattling low pitch roar.
Focusing deeper into the source of the noise, it can be contemplated that a 200 ft tall, humanoid figure was knocking down several buildings, as well as spreading havoc in the surrounding area. Screams, sirens and gunshots could be heard in the air as the event transpired.
The police was on the case, several cars parked together to try and avoid the creature continuing on his destructive path.

"Don't let that damn villain trespass the perimeter we have set here, we need to wait here for back up, or for a hero to show up" The chief of the police force deployed ordered, he was expecting to arrest a couple of people today, low class thiefs, thugs, drug sellers, but a giant monster? Mad for power at 10 AM? That was not in his schedule. "Rookie! Have you made contact with any nearby agencies yet?! This thing is tougher to take down than we thought!" He yelled at his partner, who had just started last week.

"No back up or contact has been made yet sir! I suggest we keep our ground as of right now!" The rookie replied, being in the police force had always been his dream, ever since he was little, even if it meant risking his life 24/7, but yet again, that's what a hero would do, right? "I repeat! I have not-"

"I heard you the first time Sherlock, no need to repeat yourself" The chief interrupted, he had to deal with a giant monster, he didn't need to deal with a whiny newbie too, he grabbed the phone from his partner and tried to call the nearest agency"Testing, testing, we need back up in the Southern district! I repeat, we need back up in the Southern distr-"

"Never fear! Glory is here!" She interrupted, a female of around the mid 20's exclaimed, she was wearing a black zip up suit with a bright yellow colored stripped sides, white gloves and a white cape, her boots were white as well, only that the soles were yellow like the side of her costume, her orange hair flying behind her as she flew towards the beast, her voice booming through the streets of the district, she smiled high as she took another leap towards the giant creature "Here's the finisher! Texas...!" She exclaimed, pulling back her fist and spinning on herself a couple of times to gain momentum, her cape flailing around her as she did so, nearing the monster by the second. "SMAAAASHH!!!" She yelled as she launched her fist forward, with the gained momentum and her mysterious power, a strong gust of wind knocked some civilians over, as well as knocking down the creature. Hard.

As the creature fell down, it let a high pitched shriek, signalling that it was severely damaged and wounded. The ground cracked as it's immense body hit it with tremendous force, rocks and debris flying everywhere. Several flying towards a family and a couple of more civilians, as well as the hero herself and the police cars.

"Oh shit-" She cursed as she used her power once more to make another gust of wind, this one not so strong to knock the debris back, but enough to make it slow down. She gasped as she saw the destruction approach quickly at the innocent bystanders.
