Monotonous
adjective: monotonous
dull, tedious, and repetitious; lacking in variety and interest.
My life has seem to come to a monotonous state, I start the morning at the break of dawn, I run along side Steve. Only after I will begin my routine for class, shower, eat, gather my things, and leave. The tiresome night that i had, has affected my ability to function, I now dread my run with Steve as i drag my feet each stride, wishing that it were to end. What has happened to me? This feeling of eternal routine has casted such an awful weight upon my shoulders. I start the morning at the break of dawn, I run along side Steve. Only after I will begin my routine for class, shower, eat, gather my things, and leave.
But when I woke today, the air was crisper, the sky darker, and the weight on my shoulders felt lighter. I felt as if change was near, something was odd about this morning, almost eerie. As I began my daily routine a crash of thunder rumbled the tower, the sounds of curious, concerned and fearful footsteps filled the halls. I did not realize that I was one of those footsteps. I remember it pouring rain( usually did this time of year), the golden hair and the crimson cape, an old friend has returned. Change. However this was not the feeling i had, has my yearn for difference hindered my intuition? I am doubtful of this conclusion, this is not the change I was expecting, there is more to come.
"Banner, is that the tesseract?" I look over to see everyone's face drop with deadly concern. Banner, instead of answering my question, covers me with his coat as the rain soaks through everything we are wearing. I look at the glowing blue light and feel an envious, malicious, rage fill the pit of my stomach.
"There has been a breech, Dark elves attempted to retrieve the tesseract. The only place i could think of that would keep it safe is midgard"
"Yes, the planet that isn't protected by Gods would keep the most valuable and sought after object in the universe safe" Tony never liked the idea of the Tesseract being on a different planet. But with Avengers Tower only being that, a tower, it seemed as the more likely place it should be held is Asgard. Until now, there was nothing to counteract this argument, the all powerful Gods were supposed to keep it safe. But now everything falls onto a super soldier, a billionaire, an assassin, a Doctor with behavioral issues, and a stem major who can "shoot red wiggly woos" out of their hands. Typical.
After their heated argument begins, I felt hands on my side, guiding me back through the rooftop doors. Familiar hands, rough but with a gentle ease. "Guys lets finish this inside,I don't need for any of you to get sick" I hear the mocking remarks with the distant laugh "Yes dad" Stark says as Nat joins in on the bickering.
I get handed a towel to dry off my hair, the feeling in the pit of my stomach has not left since i saw the tesseract. I express my concern with the others and they all glance at one another, then as they've done before, they dismiss me. I walk over to stand besides them as they talk at the island in the kitchen, subconsciously Steve moves me next to him and pours me coffee. As i begin to feel my mind become disoriented, Happy calls out for me. Their conversations fade away as they all collectively head towards the conference room, or as tony calls it "the knights round table".

The walk home from class is worrisome, a flashing feeling of pure anger, dread, guilt and pain fills me whole. Then, as the feeling grows debilitating a blue glow fills my mind. The tesseract. I finally realize what i've been feeling. I am now running through the streets of new york, apologizing as I go. I say hello to Jarvis and finally am let inside the building, just as i'm about to hit the elevator button when I am blocked by arrogant Investors arriving to speak to Tony. I have no time. I try to stray away from using my telekinesis on people, but in this moment it slips my mind and i forcefully move them out of my way. "Where is Banner and Tony?" Steve questions the intensity of my tone but tells me where they are.
