It was really maddening. For the past four weeks, I had been searching the audience every week for the one face that had captivated me so much. But each time I was disappointed when I couldn't spot her in the crowd.

Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. At least that was what I kept trying to tell myself. Only I had no success with it. I could not stop myself from thinking about this mysterious woman and looking for her.

It was starting to get ridiculous and I was well aware of that. But the more I tried to banish her image from my mind, the clearer it became. As if this shy smile and the bright eyes were burned into my retinas.

It had already gotten so bad that I saw her everywhere I went. Always at a distance. When I was on the road with the car or in the supermarket while shopping. A few times I could have sworn she walked past the window of a store I was in. Several times I couldn't help myself and ran in the direction where I thought I saw her. Yet even these actions were not crowned with success. Whenever I reached the place where I had seen her seconds before, she was already gone. Or maybe my mind was playing tricks on me and she had never been there.

Today was once again that time. It was a Wednesday again. But this time I swore not to look for her. I had made a fool of myself often enough. That was over now. I had to accept that I would never see the foreign woman again. Maybe I had even imagined her from the beginning. Everything seemed so unreal to me.

We made our way to the ring and the routine began. We climbed into the ring and onto the ropes as usual. I forced myself not to let my eyes wander and to my amazement I succeeded to some extent. But just as I was about to jump off the ropes, my eyes fell on a person in the front row. When I saw her, I almost lost my footing.

There she was! One hundred percent. No imagination, no illusion. She was real. And when our eyes met, the smile I had been looking for for weeks spread across her face.

"Bobby! Bobby, she's here!" I whispered to him quickly.

"What, where?" he wanted to know.

"Front row. Black leather jacket and UE shirt. Ponytail." I quickly murmured to him.

"What are you waiting for, Kyle! Do something." he suddenly said.

"Excuse me? Now? We have a match." I retorted.

"Our opponents aren't even here yet. Now do something. I don't want to have to hear again that she got away from you. Or do you want me to do it for you?" said Bobby and pushed me towards the ropes.

Of course he was right. I quickly got out of the ring and went to her. Immediately the fans started to freak out and cheered like crazy. I stopped right in front of her, not caring what else was going on around me.

"Hi!" I said to her to get her attention.

"Oh... um... Hi!" she said shyly. I saw her bite her lower lip and a slight blush spread across her neck and cheeks.

"Can I ask what your name is?" I asked, not taking my eyes off her for a second.

"I'm Y/N L/N." she said. I loved her name. It fit her perfectly.

"Hi Y/N. As you may know, my name is Kyle O'Reilly. I know that's probably really weird now, and maybe creepy. And it's totally okay if you say no. But I'd still like to ask if you'd like to go out with me sometime?" I asked, and there it was, the bright smile and the sparkling eyes that I couldn't forget the whole time.

"Wow... Um... are you sure?" she asked over the loud shouting of the rest of the audience.

"One hundred percent. I haven't been able to get you out of my head since I first saw you in the audience." I confessed, still looking deep into her eyes.

"Well, yeah. I'd love to go out with you, Kyle." she finally replied.

"Thank you, Y/N. I'll have a security person take you to the back later, if you don't mind. Then we can talk details. But now, please excuse me. I have a championship to win." I grinned. The sound of my name coming out of her mouth echoed in my head.

Suddenly, Y/N raised her hand and motioned for me to come closer.

"Go get 'em, champ!" said Y/N, giving me a kiss on the cheek completely unexpectedly.

If that wasn't a perfect good luck charm, I didn't know what was. The audience was still making a tremendous amount of noise. But I hardly noticed it.

The only thing I saw was Y/N's beaming smile and her bright red face.

I couldn't wait to learn more about this, now not so mysterious woman. And maybe this was even a story we would later tell our children. Who knows...
