Nov. 3rd 7:25 PM
Hour 4
" No....no.....no!"
" Please relax and tell us what happened " the police officer pleaded to the child across the dim lit room, who was shaking his head back and forth while rocking in the corner.
The child had hollow, haunted eyes. His brown hair was matted with rusty blood and sweat. Bags were etched under his horrified gaze, while tears stained his cheeks like tracks of crystal.
He had his hand clutched in his coat pockets so tightly his knuckles grew a bloodless white. It was evident that the little boy's mind was broken after the events that took place only 3 days ago, a few miles away had happened.
" I-I..." the boy sobbed, burying his head into his crossed arms. His shoulders racked with every gasping breath, and hysterical cry of anguish.
The officer stayed quiet, too warn out to sigh. He began looking everywhere except at the boy he was currently in the middle of interrogating. It broke his heart to have to make the boy tell about how his mother was killed -every detail possible.
He then glanced at his report file on the table in front of him.
' Neighbor's son kills little boys mother ' the paper screamed in bold, black lettering.
The officer could remember the crime scene so well, to every last speck of blood of the wall. That every time he thought of it, his stomach lurched and he almost lost his lunch at the mere thought or mention.
The victim Rachel Bank's body had no wounds what so ever, yet blood was splattered everywhere at the crime. The forensic lab couldn't even tell her cause of death.
A shuffling sound brought the police man out of his wandering thoughts, the boy stood before him head titled to an angle where his green eyes were hiding behind his chocolate brown hair, glinting.
" I-I was wondering mister, if I could get a h-hug?" the boy braced himself, arms open, waiting for rejection.
" Sure, kiddo."
Hesitantly the boy hugged him, finally finding comfort, but it was short lived.
" Hey, kid...what was your name again?" the officer questioned.
" It's Lucas."
Hey, wasn't that-
A body of police officer Vergil Brown was found by his wife on Nov. 5th 4:30
PM, the cause of death unknown. The only thing left at the scene of the crime was blood, but it wasn't Vergil's.
