"Who do you like Ray?" I teased without letting him loose. I wasn't going to let him get away this time.

He was squirming around trying to break free but my grip tightened and he gave up.

"I can't tell you who I like." Ray said without making eye contact.

"Yes you can, and you will." I answered.

"I- I..." AlL of a SuDdEN 🤭 a pair of soft lips pressed up against mine catching me off guard. Before I knew it he had run off again. I guess my grip loosened from shock. 'Damn that kid can run fast-'

Was that supposed to be my answer? So it was me who he liked? Or did he do that so that he could have a chance to run away? He could have just stomped on my foot-
I cant let him just leave again, i'm going after him.

"I- I..." I kissed him. I fawking kissed him-
I hope that answers his question because once he loosens him grip I am out of here.
And just like that, IM GONE.

I could see Norman running after me in the distance but lucky me, i'm a faster runner 😎

I looked behind me again and he was gone.
I could have sworn he was behind me-
I turned my head back into the direction I was going and Norman was standing right in front of me.

'HOW THE HELL DID HE GET THERE?'

"Hey Ray." Norman said in a low tone as if trying to tease me. i hate it here.. "You never fully answered my question."
'Shit.'

"Oh uh- uhm. sorry?"

"Ray.. please tell me" Norman begged. I was starting to get angry now. Can he not take the hint that it's him? That he's the one I like. He's the one that i've practically been drooling over. This idiot just cant get that through his big brain?!
"Cmon Ray." thats it..

"WAS THE KISS NOT ENOUGH? WAS IT NOT ENOUGH TO TELL YOU THAT I LIKE YOU?" My face was red but not out of embarrassment this time. I was HEATED. (LMAO AHAHA)
Normans smile fell from his face.

"Well I wasn't sur-"

"SURE ABOUT WHAT? THAT IVE LEFT HINT THIS ENTIRE TIME AND YOU STILL CANT FIGURE IT OUT? AND YOU KEPT PRYING UNTIL I FINALLY GAVE IN AND YOU STILL COULDNT UNDERSTAND."
(oh boy this sounds like one of those tlc 90 day fiancé shows..)

"Well I thought you liked Emma but then you said you like someone else and I was hoping that it was me but I wasn't sure. That's why I kissed you the other night. But then you ran away again making me second guess."

"Y-You hoped i liked you?" I asked confused.

"Yes Ray, I like you too." Norman answered.

"Oh." I began to stare at my shoes, I couldn't look him in the eye. 'THIS IS AWKWARD'

Should I run again? 'RAY STOP BEING A COWARD'

Before I could do anything Norman pulled me into a hug. It was a warm hug and it felt nice.
"It's ok." Norman mumbled by my ear. I didn't know what was ok about this. The fact that I like a boy or what mama will do when she finds out. But his words were reassuring.
My doubts were gone and I was at ease. This hug was the thing I needed for a long time.

And better yet, Norman was the one hugging me..
