Inside the cool cave Ra'kar was feeling worse by the hour. Luckily he had left over brouth to deal with his pain but the chill and fever was causing him to dyhadrate.
His father left him water to drink and pup formula in the case they needed it.
He hated feeling helpless, specially now that his pup needed him.

He looked down to his pup in his arms that slumbered peacefully.
She seemed more calm while resting up against his chest, he saw mothers using this technique for pups.
The pups become more contempt while hearing their parent's heartbeats...turns out it works for Ooman pups too.

He ignored the fever, it didn't matter to him. What matter was the tiny life gripping his large, claw finger.
His talons were sharp enough to rip through her tiny, thin flesh but she showed no fear towards her Apa at all.

"Look at you. Your so small but strong. I don't care what the others would think of us my little star. I know you will prove that you have what it takes to be a true yautja."

Ra'kar carefully nuzzled his pup's forehead gently with his own as a sign of a affection or a yautja version of a kiss.
Alari cooed at the smooth, warmth touch of her Apa.
Their bond was like a flower, blooming with care and warmth, it was growing stronger and one day may reach the sun.

But that bond short lived as a deep growl was heard near the entrance of the cave.

Near the forestline

Light-stepper hurried as fast as his legs could carry him and trailing behind was Scarface.
The exile was surprised how fast the clan leader was, he was keeping his speed steady like rapids curving around rocks.
Light-stepper was indeed well named by his parents, he was light on his feet.

"Why are you following me, Exile?"

Scarface kept his eyes on the location of the cliffs as he tried to match Light-stepper's speed.
"I want to help!"
Scarface turned to Light-stepper's gaze when he heard a deep snarl of frustration.
"You want to help me?! My family are in danger because of you! you traitorous, unworthy bastard!"

That.was.it!

Scarface knew he dishonoured his clan, he knew he deserved to be left in exlie but this was unfair treatment.
He charged faster up ahead, he lept onto a large oak tree and sprung towards Light-stepper and lands infront of him.
He gave out a roar that echoed through the forest like the caves themselves.
"Listen here! You can judge me all you want but how could I of known you had a family on this reserve?!"
Light-stepper was impressed by the Yautja's techniques but his words spoke more volume.
He stayed silent while letting his anger subsided within the question.
"Which I didn't and your treating me like I led that bad blood here on purpose! To make for all that is happening, I will help protect your family."

Before Light-stepper could speak they heard a roar from the distance, Light-stepper immediately sprung forward.
This was bad, his instincts were calling out to him to run, to protect, to kill.
"Ra'kar!"
Light-stepper looked over to Scarface and back the cliff's edge.
"That was my son's call! My son and granddaughter are in danger!"

"Well let's not stand here like open prey! Let's hunt!!"
Scarface roared as he charged to the cliffs with Light-stepper folllowing beside him.

Back at the cave

Ra'kar looked to the entrance to see a large shadow figure looming near the camouflaged seal, he scented strong iron and rotten flesh near by.
The figure was taughting, it was large, it wore bladed shaped armour and red was visible.
Ra'kar knew that colour well, for the first time he was afraid to fight.

He wanted to run away with his pup but his leg anchored him to his bed.
The only way he could think of was to remain quite and hope the enemy doesn't see him or hear him.

"I know you here weakling. I can smell your blood just before I stepped on this ground."

That made Ra'kar flinch from his very soul, he can't be a coward now! Both him and Alari's life depend on him but...why can't he move?

"Aah! I can hear your heart, it beats like my battle drums and-"
The figure lifted his head and inhaled the air like a demon scenting innocent souls.
"Is that fear I scent on you? It's delicious~"

This so called hunter was mad and hungered for blood.

They needed to get out...now.

Ra'kar cradled Alari close to his chest, one sound from her and she could give them away.
He looked around for a escape route, the cave had many domains but which one could lead them out?

He didn't have his bio mask to seek out heat, he couldn't see in the dark and his leg was perventing to move any faster.
That bad blood was getting too close to the camouflaged seal and one nudge from the item could reveal them instantly.
His mind screamed at him, his instincts battered his heart and limps were burning from the adrenaline.
They all echoed inside him, saying one word to prevent death...
Run

The bad blood paced the area like a lion stalking it prey, then something caught his eye.
He turned his head around to look at the object that glistened in the morning sunlight.
"What do we have here?"

Run!

The bad blood approached the item and purred with delight.
He chuckled at the little object and looked up to see a holographic image of a cliff wall.
"You 'pure bloods' just love your little gadgets don't you."
Run!!

He breaths in the scent and grunts with satisfaction.
"I know your there! Why don't you come out and play."
He chuckles more and inhales more.
His eyes fixed on one certain smell and he was pleased to know his prey was injured.

FOR PAYA'S SAKE RUN!!

Ra'kar roars at the top of his lungs and charged towards the hologram that disintegrated into crystal shards.
He head butted the Bad blood into his stomach and leapt into a cave hole and vanished.

The bad blood gripped his stomach and coughed as he felt his meal disturbed within him.
His coughs turned into grunts but then they turned into laughter.
A crackled, bone crunching laughter that could may give Paya shivers.
"Ooo, so you do want to play and we are playing my favourite game. Hide and seek!"
He casually walked towards the hole and activated his wrist tech.

"Ready or not...here come."
