"Wake up Harry we're here" Draco nudged my head lightly.
Everyone was already out meeting their parents when we got out of the train. I saw Edwin and we walked over to where he was standing.
"Ready master Harry?"
"Let's go."
He apparated us to the mansion, I immediately felt like vomiting from the weird sensation of apparating. The manor looked exactly the same as when I left, except for snow being almost everywhere: a great number of plant climbers snaked around the black, wrought iron gate. Large rose bushes formed a hedge that surrounded the whole estate like a great, green wall topped with a white blanket and joined the wide-ranging forest at a point. We entered the gate and followed a gravel track, on the left, a bit secluded from everything else, stood a huge quidditch field. Deep, white snow surrounded the field and manor and made it look ever so inviting and fun to play on. The path was outlined by white roses and lead on for about 30 metres until it reached the huge, dark, wooden entrance door of my home. The manor was an enormous place. Its walls were made of grey stone bricks. It was around 20 metres high and there were big, rectangular glass window embedded into the stone. The roof was made of black slate tiles and ivy climbed up the building so that it looked like there was a green blanket over some parts of the manor. The inside was just as beautiful as the outside. The entrance hall was quite big, black tiles that shone from the lamps' light (which were attached to the misty grey stone walls) covered the floor. From the roof hung a glass chandelier and some paintings hung on the walls. I had no idea where father got them from; I never bothered to ask him. A small fire was lit on the right side of the room, making it nice and warm. There were also two large Christmas trees on either side of the room with silver and green decorations hanging from them. I was finally at home. Edwin led us to the spacious kitchen, that like the entrance hall (and every other part of the house), had black tiles on the floor and grey stone walls. Molly, our house elf, prepared us some sandwiches, cake and some hot cocoa. I showed Draco and Blaise their rooms and went to mine after to unpack my things once Edwin had put my trunk on my bed.
I went to search for my father in his study to speak shortly about my arrival and my time at Hogwarts. I knocked on the door to his office and opened it after being allowed in.
"Harry boy, was your arrival good?" he said while looking directly into my eyes.
"Yes father, quite perfect"
"Good. Have a seat, I would like to discuss the Philosophers stone with you" father gestured to the chair in front of me. "See I have been looking for the elixir of life for a long time and had no idea where it might have been, so I sent my men all around the country out looking for it. You might have mentioned Professor Quirrell yes? And how he appeared strange to you?"
"Yes, I did" I was confused about how he fits into the picture.
"Well dear son, he is part of my army but clearly he is of no use now."
"That is why he was behaving oddly in school" I said finally connecting the dots.
"Yes, he was never good at keeping his cover-up" he said while shaking his head and resting into his chair. "I must say, I am extremely proud of you. Anyways go on to your friends I will be down here if you need anything."
"Thank you father." I mumbled out and giving him a quick hug.
I ran upstairs to get Blaise and Draco to play some Quidditch on the field for a bit. We quickly grabbed the snacks Molly made for us and raced to the field. When we reached it, they were shocked at how big it actually was.
"It's bigger than the one at my house!" Draco panted, trying to catch his breath.
We decided that it would be best to only spend half an hour on the game because we were only three people after all and it was very cold on top of that. Blaise was in goal first as Draco and I took turns trying to score him, then I was in goal and then Draco. It turned out that we were all pretty good. I only won by 5 points against them both. They tied. Once we were done we walked to the end of the pitch when I had an amazing idea.
