OFF'S POV

"You completed your tasks off I'll give the prize later for now put niffler on the cage to avoid snatching golds and coins inside the whole palace" Dad said. After we got niffler at the forest we decided to get home as fast as we can as the sun's ray is hitting our skin it's indeed hurt on the skin when I was young I don't feel this things like thirsty of blood and hurt on sun rays.

"Yes dad" I turned back and was about to go up when dad stopped me. "Get down after that. I have to tell you something" I nodded and got inside my room to put niffler on his cage after that I take a quick shower and changed.

I got down and saw dad drinking a blood on the dining table he stopped when he saw me and invited me to sit in front of him as I also obeyed him the room got silent for a bit when dad suddenly talked.

"Do you want to know what vampire's can do to human?" He suddenly asked. he started to explain anything and something caught my attention "We vampires can hypnotize humans by our red eyes but be careful no one should see it or else they will misunderstood you as a evil vampire" He said and I nodded.

"And also we vampire's can erase human memories in case of misunderstanding, they just have to look in our eyes and remember the scene you wanted them to forget and it takes 5 minutes for them to forget that part and left them alone and come back after 3 days" He explained.

"Are you still using those powers dad?" I asked as dad looked into me and drink a bit of blood from his glass and so do I and he spoke.

"Well nowadays I use it once in a while but it depends"

"How do I do it dad?"

"You'll know it soon son just practice I can't help you on that because I only took a 1 week leave just to train and tomorrow I have to go back to my work and here is your prize" He handed me a small box an old one.

"Thank you dad I'll open this later"

"Off please keep that bottle full of blood in case you'll encounter nectar"

"Yes dad thank you dad for teaching me on how to control this, but now I still have to control on sipping blood I'm afraid I can kill human"

"It's fine my prince you can kill human if they did bad things"

"Ow okay I have to go now dad"

"Yes you can go back to sleep it's still early"

"Okay dad thanks for the tour" I said and left the dining room but suddenly the door made a loud bang and it let uncle Na came in but it seems like he's scared "Where's your dad I have to talk to him" He asked and I can feel that he's scared because his body are trembling.

"Dad is at the dining room. What happened uncle?" I confusingly asked him as he turned his back and run towards the dining room without answering my question well It's their problem maybe I'll ask dad later.

I went inside my room and was about to sleep when I noticed my cherry necklace is gone. I got up and walked around my room look under the bed inside the closet inside my bathroom to my study table at my drawer but no...there's no cherry necklace to be found around my room.

'It's so important for me where did I put that?' I asked my thoughts.

I looked at niffler who is sleeping peacefully on his cage but there's a gold chain around his neck the chain was familiar. I walked closer to him and guess what it was my cherry necklace I slowy opened his cage and get my necklace.

I lie down on my bed and stare at the necklace for about a minute and suddenly a loud foot step running on my room I opened it and saw dad running inside their room and got out with a cape a cape that a sun ray can't hit his skin.

"Dad where are you going?" I asked and he stopped I can now see his face is full of concern and now I'm confused what is happening. "Stay here off and protect your mom and your sister I'll call Sara for another protector"

"Dad what's happening?" I asked a little bit scared not.

He didn't bother to answer my question as uncle Na came and called dad they run outside and after they left I went to mom's room and saw her sitting in the corner of the bed like she was not in her mind.

"Mom what happened?" I run towards her as her tears now are rushing down on her cheeks.

"Your grandpa is dead" She said and cry hard.

My knees suddenly got weak I fell on the ground but why does my tears won't came out?

"P'off is it true? Grandpa is dead?" Some familiar voice suddenly talked from my back and she's with pim and aunt Um.

"Yes ciize" And there I cried hard I run inside my room still crying I sat near the door remembering what grandpa said.

"Off...your life will be hard but not that hard HAHAHAH" He said laughing hard as if was the funniest joke he said.

"What do you mean hard grandpa?" I asked looking into him and there he stopped laughing and looked back to me with a serious face.

"If you'll become a vampire it would be hard for you to live with your mate and it will be dangerous for the both of you do your best to not hurt your mate specially at the bed" He said.

"Do you know who's my mate grandpa?"

"Yes but I wont tell you for now...I'll tell you if you got your fangs my prince" He said and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"Promise?"

"Promise" And gave me sweet smile.

I crawl up to my bed as I feel my eyes will close anytime I cried almost a hour. Suddenly I herd dad's voice I went out and saw dad's eyes in bloody red and swollen.

"Dad what's the reason why grandpa suddenly die?"

"He went inside a apartment to visit my other siblings a fire suddenly spread around the building and they got trapped inside and there they turned into ash" Dad can't even form a tears on his eyes because of crying for about 5 hours.

"I sense that the fire is not caused by accident" Dad suddenly utter.

"Why? What's the cause then dad?"

"I also heard the hunter's know now that the vampires took antidote to be invisible by human eyes Dr. Ruangroj once warned me about this...once that there's a single vampire killed...the antidote will no longer work" Dad said.

I really hate this hunter's now like bitch those vampires changed there rules just to avoid hurting humans and now humans are the one who are now killing innocent vampires.
