Chapter 5
PARANG sing bilis naman ng takbo ni Usain Bolt ang paglipas ng oras at dumaan ang isang linggo.
Biyernes ng gabi at nakahiga si Kate sa kaniyang kama matapos ihanda ang susuotin niya bukas para sa date nila ni Finn. Kausap niya ngayon sa telepono ang nobyo at kinakamusta ito.
"Pinayagan na nga kasi ako."
[I'm just making sure. Baka kasi umuwi bigla si Tito Ethan at katayin ako.]
Natawa naman si Kate sa sinabi ni Finn. Hindi niya alam na may takot pala ang nobyo niya sa kaniyang tatay.
"So... Did you made your whole weekend vacant? Tuloy pa rin ang lakad natin bukas diba?"
[Absolutely. Don't worry, Felicity. My weekend is all yours.]
Itinago naman ni Kate ang kilig na nadarama at ang sobrang excitement sa date nila bukas ni Finn. It is their first official date as a couple so obviously she's excited and kinda nervous.
"No sudden meet up with your classmates?"
[Nope. I'm all yours this weekend.]
Napangiti naman si Kate. "Nice. I'll see you tomorrow."
[Don't wear revealing clothes.]
"Gosh! When did I?"
[Aba, malay ko ba? Baka kasi surpresahin mo ko bukas sa suot mo eh. Now, I'm eager to see you.]
"Then, why don't you just come home and see me?"
[I can't. Bukas pa ako pwedeng umalis. But, I'll see you tomorrow, Felicity. May kailangan pa akong tapusin na assignment ngayon.]
"Okay. Bilisan mo na diyan at magpahinga ka na. See you tomorrow at the meeting place. Bye." paalam ni Kate saka pinatay na ang tawag.
Inilapag niya ang phone sa nightstand saka natulog na. Kailangan niyang mag-beauty rest para maganda siya bukas sa first date nila ni Finn.
The next day...
It's past 6pm and Finn is nowhere to be found. Kate almost waited for 3 hours for him outside the cinema theater. She already bought popcorn and drinks as well, but the drinks got warm and the popcorn was now half-empty, and he's still not around.
Where is he?
She was absolutely annoyed for waiting so long in her outfit, which she was wearing a white long sleeve and a plaided skirt. She really got out of her comfort zone just to make an impression to her boyfriend. She wants him to see her in a girly dress not just in casual hoodie and jeans. She's starting to regret wearing the outfit when the cool air from the aircon of the establishment began creeping on her legs an hour ago.
I dressed up for him and he did this to me?
Kate decided to dial his number and call him once again. But to no avail, it continues to ring until she gave up and end the call just to call again.
