I got the inspiration for this reading a one shot on here (can't remember the name sorry but if you know it comment it please) it's the same kind of setting idea but different plot and all that. So this is set after Hogwarts both Y/n and Oliver are after signing contracts with professional Quidditch teams (different teams) and have been asked back to Hogwarts during the summer to coach a Quidditch camp. Y/n was a Ravenclaw and a year younger than Oliver in school, Y/n was also dating Marcus Flint in Hogwarts. Oliver is out of school 5 years, Y/n out 4 years. Au when Voldemort just didn't exist or whatever.

"L/n?" A voice came from behind Y/n as she stood outside the broom shed, her broom leaning against the shed. She turned around to see Oliver Wood walking towards her, broom in hand, a whistle around his neck and a Quidditch jumper on. "Well, I didn't expect this,".

"What that's supposed to mean?" Y/n teased slightly with a laugh. Her and Oliver weren't great friends in school. They played for different teams, but they were civil with each other and got on well whenever they did talk, although it was mostly about Quidditch.

"Nothing, sorry, it was just when McGonagall told me I'd be doing it with someone else I just didn't expect it to be you," Oliver explained quickly, as Y/n laughed at him getting ever so slightly flustered. She wasn't offended or anything. She didn't really except herself do be doing this either. "Not that I'm not happy. I remember you being a great flier. You're signed with the Arrows, aren't you?"

"Ya I am," Y/n nodded. Oliver was referring to the Appleby Arrows. They wore pale blue robes, their crest was a sliver arrow pointing upwards and they offered Y/n a contract fresh out of Hogwarts which she signed for 4 years, it was up at the end of the season. The Arrows were a good team, not as good as Puddlemere, who signed Oliver, but still good. Her contract was nearly up, though, and she hadn't decided whether or not she'd sign an extension as she was getting offers from a couple of other clubs.

"Wood!" McGonagall called out at the walked down to the broom shed towards the pair. Oliver turned to look at the women walking down to them as he smiled, placing his broom next to Y/n's before giving McGonagall a hug.

"Professor!" Oliver responded. McGonagall was he favourite teacher when he was in school purely because Oliver was her favourite student, and she didn't even bother trying to hide it.

"You're ages out of Hogwarts Wood, call me Minerva, you too L/n," McGonagall told Oliver and Y/n, greeting them with a smile. "I'm so glad the two of you agreed to come coach the students, sorry L/n I know you were a Ravenclaw, but Gryffindor haven't won the Cup since you left Wood, it's killing me. The students are a mix of all the houses, of course, but I strongly encouraged Gryffindors to sign up,".

"Perfect, by the time we're done with them, they'll be flying circles around the rest of the students," Oliver grinned, nudging Y/n slightly as she smiled. "Where are the students?"

"Oh, they're up in the castle," McGonagall explained. "I'll send them down to you if you guys are ready,".

McGonagall walked back up to the castle to send down the students as Y/n and Oliver made their way onto the pitch with their brooms, Oliver carrying a chest of the balls over his shoulder, onto the pitch. Oliver stood at the chest and opened it as he took the Quaffle, throwing it up in the air and catching it as Y/n watched him.

"I'll grab another chest from the broom shed if we need more balls later," Oliver said, putting the Quaffle back as Y/n nodded, walking towards him. Y/n looked at Oliver as she watched him looking around the pitch. He had put on more muscle since Hogwarts, probably whatever training plan Puddlemore had them doing . His hair has grown out a little more as well since Hogwarts, but his mannerisms seemed to be the exact same. "It's weird being back, huh?"
