The smell of the cafeteria and school lunch makes my stomach hurt. I hate school lunch it's so gross!
If you aren't going to eat that, can I have it? Zac reaches for my dessert. I smack his hand away. Get your dirty hand off my pudding. By the way, have you seen Lisa? Not since this morning, why? Oh.. well she said she needed to talk and we were supposed to meet up after class, but I couldn't find her and she isn't answering my text. Eric, Jae and Moon walk up to our table. Moon sits besides me and reaches her arms out for a hug. I hug her tightly. Hana! I missed you so much! I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say a proper hello this morning. It was just so crazy with the crowd and all. Oh, no worries! I missed you! How was your summer? Um. Moon stutters I-I visited family. Spent some time with my aunt in Canada. Canada? Jae looks confused. Didn't you say your aunt lives in England?? Uh- n-no, pretty sure I said Canada. Moon stuffs her face with a forkful of ramen noodles. Everyone stares at Moon then back at Jae. Right.... Anyway! So my parents are throwing a little get together tonight at their place, you guys are coming, right? Eric looks at me and the others. If your hot sister is going to be there, count me in. Ugh, you're a pig Zac! Lisa walks up to our table and rolls her eyes. I think I can reschedule a few events and attend your little get together as she scrolls through her phone. Jae, you in? Asks Eric. Jae reaches for Eric's apple and takes a bite out of it before placing it back onto his tray. Sure. I'll be there. I turn to Moon, and you? Will you be there tonight? I'll be there so you don't have to worry about your mom pestering you all night. Moon looks at her bowl of ramen. I-I guess... Great! Then it's all settled! Eric jumps out if his chair knocking over a carton of milk. I'll see you losers tonight! He walks off as a herd of girls follow pursuit. My ears turn red as I clench my fits watching those desperate girls drool all over Eric. It drives me nuts! I must've dozed off for too long by the time I snap out of it Lisa, Moon, and Zac are gone. Welcome back, Hana. I was afraid this time you were gone for good. Jae laughs. You're pathetic, you know that? What are you talking about, Jae?! The way you act around Eric. It's so obvious and embarrassing. WHAT?! I bite my lip holding back anger. Jae gets up from his chair and walks over to me. He leans over and quietly whispers " I know you're in love with Eric" I'M NOT IN LOVE WITH HIM! I scream as my voice echos in the cafeteria. Everyone stares at me. Jae laughs and walks off and I sit there completely dumbfounded. There's no way he knows?? Is it that obvious?? No way! He's lying! He's joking! He-he must be joking. UGH!
*Buzz Buzz* I reach for my phone to see a text from
Lisa.

Lisa: We need to talk before the party tonight. Meet me after school.

Hana: What's wrong?? You're worrying me

Lisa: You'll find out soon enough

Hana: ???!!!

The taste of blood fills my mouth. Dang it! I must've been biting my lip since Jae pissed me off and now Lisa stressing me out isn't helping my lip biting. Sigh! I'm so stressed!

Hanna! Hanna! Oh, my gosh! JoJo!! We tackle each other, hugging tightly! JoJo is my best friend. We met in kindergarten and ever since we became inseparable. JoJo isn't a part of Group 6 for reasons we'll get into later.. Oh JoJo, I've missed you so much!!!! How was America?! You need to tell me everything! Oh! Are you coming to the party tonight?! What party? JoJo looks confused. You weren't invited? Eric's parents are hosting a party at their place tonight. Are you sure he didn't invite you? Well, I'm sure he'd love it if you showed up! Considering he didn't invite me.. JoJo looks annoyed. Oh, come on. You know Eric isn't like that! We all grew up together! Yeah, that doesn't mean he's my friend. We're best friends, Hana and the only reason Eric knows of my existence is because you and I are friends. The only time he's ever acknowledged me was back in 7th grade when he needed me to tutor him in math. He's not a bad guy.. I give her puppy eyes. Oh please, you're just saying that because you're in looooove with him. Oh, not you too! I slap her arm playfully. So, I guess that's a no? No chance! JoJo says loudly. I refuse to be in a room filled with rich, snobby pricks. Besides, I don't fit in. I'm not hot or rich. Oh whatever! Anyway, I have to run. Class is starting soon. I pout. I'll text you! I run off leaving JoJo alone at an empty table.
And then there was one... as always. JoJo sips her drink and sighs.
