Optimus was absent mindedly fiddling with a piece of his armor as he looked up at the night sky, to the stars, to the moon, thinking.
' Why am I like this, why, why, WHY!' He released a breath, there was no point in getting all mad at something he couldn't control. He slid off the rock he was sitting on and into the sea, dove under, and with a great big push of his big metal fish tail he started to swim, not going anywhere but forward.
/TIME SKIP cus why not 🤗/
As Optimus resurfaced, he thought.
' I should get back to base before the others wake up.' With a warry sigh, he heads back to the beach. The moment he was fully on land his tail started to separate, ear-fins shrinking back to their normal size, his clawed and webbed servos turn back to regular servos, fangs retracted back to normal, flat, Autobot denta, and his dorsal fin fused with his back. He looked up one more time then grabbed his portable ground bridge and went through.
Once he got back, he immediately missed the smell of the salty water, the sound of the waves and the feeling of the water against his frame.
' I should get to my room before Ratchet wakes up.' Sighing he walked as silently as he could for someone his size, to his berthroom. Once he was there, he half walk, half stumbled to his berth and as soon as his helm hit the pillow, he was asleep Instantly. However, as Optimus was making his way back to his room Ratchet was getting up and heard peds hit the floor, so he peeked out of his door as he thought to himself.
' Who would be up at this hour, oh just Optimus wait- OPTIMUS!? What was he doing up, not even he stays up this late!'
Taking in his appearance Ratchet noticed that he looked wet, like he had been swimming or something.
' Why was he wet? Hmm I'll ask him later.'
