Ch. 14 Let my sister go, you creep!

Aurora ran through the crowd to the middle of the mall, seeing a gorgeous water fountain. She stops running as she begins to walk towards the water fountain. She then stops walking as she stands in front of the water fountain.

" What do you do for a living?"

" From the way you answered me, you must have some criminal record."

Aurora lightly bites her lips as her chocolate brown eyes intently stared at the water.

' The nerve of that girl! She doesn't even know me, and yet she rants that I am some criminal,' Aurora furiously tells herself.

Footsteps walking towards Aurora's direction grabbed the young teen's attention. She slowly turns her gaze to the right, and she sees Benjamin standing next to her.

" Mr. Thomas," Aurora whispers.

Benjamin pulls out a penny from his pant pocket, and he holds it to Aurora.

Aurora's chocolate brown eyes blinked, and she looks at Benjamin with a confused expression.

" Throw this penny in the fountain and make a wish," Benjamin softly tells Aurora.

" I'm not a child," Aurora mumbled as her gaze softened, recalling Phillipe giving her a penny and telling her to make a wish whenever they were near a water fountain.

" I know. But making a wish always makes me happy," Benjamin kindly smiled at Aurora.

Aurora kindly smiled at Benjamin as she takes the penny, and she fondly stared at it.

" I will make a wish if you make a wish as well," Aurora tells Benjamin.

Benjamin's blue eyes blinked, looking and feeling surprised that Aurora wanted him to make a wish as well.

" Okay," Benjamin amusingly chuckles as he pulls out two pennies from his pant pocket.

Aurora and Benjamin faced the water fountain as they both closed their eyes, and they made a wish.

' I wish something amazing and good will happen to Benjamin and me this year,' Aurora tells herself as she throws the penny in the water fountain.

' I wish for Lana to see that I love and care about her and that she shouldn't be ashamed for the way we live. I may not be wealthy, but she excelling in her classes, and being happy for succeeding makes me feel richer. At least me working hard to give her a roof over her head, clothes on her body, and food on the table keeps me thriving in life,' Benjamin throws the first penny in the water fountain.

' I also wish for Aurora to find a good family that she deserves to have. Even though I met her, she seems like a good kid. It fucking sucks, the kid lost her father, and yet her mother does not even want to breathe in the same room as her. Oh, how I also wish something terrible happens to that woman to make her realize that her behavior towards Aurora was wrong,' Benjamin then throws the second penny in the water fountain.

After making their wish, Aurora and Benjamin opened their eyes as they smiled at one another.

" So, what did you wish for?" Aurora softly asked Benjamin.

" If I tell you my wish, it will not come true," Benjamin winks at Aurora.

Aurora giggles, which made Benjamin feel proud of himself since he made the young teen laugh.

" Will it be alright if I give you a hug?" Benjamin kindly asked Aurora.

" Of course!" Aurora beamed, and she brightly smiled when Benjamin wrapped his arm around the young teen's shoulder, and he gives her a side hug.

" Aurora!" Mia calls out when she finally found Aurora, but she frowned when she sees Benjamin putting his arm around the young teen's shoulder, thinking that the older male is some creep.

" Let my sister go, you creep!" Mia defensively shouts as she runs up to Aurora and Benjamin, and she grabs her older twin sister by the arm and pulls her away from the older male.

Aurora's chocolate brown eyes blinked as she turns to Mia, looking and feeling surprised to see her younger twin sister.

Benjamin quickly held his hands in surrender when he sees Mia furiously glaring at him.

" Stand behind me, Aurora," Mia protectively pulls Aurora behind her as she pulls out a pepper spray from her purse.

" I don't know who you are, but seeing my sister in tears makes me believe you uncomfortably touched her. I suggest you walk away before I pepper spray you," Mia sternly tells Benjamin while aiming her pepper spray at the older male since there are lots of creeps and perverts in San Francisco.

Aurora silently stared at Mia's back, looking and feeling conflicted since she is speechless that her younger twin sister, who she recently met, is protecting her.

Aurora's chocolate brown eyes widened when she realized that Mia thinks Benjamin is a pervert.

" Mia! Mia! It's okay," Aurora goes to stand between Mia and Benjamin.

Mia's chocolate brown eyes intently stared at Aurora's chocolate brown eyes.

" Mr. Thomas is my new friend at San Francisco," Aurora honestly tells Mia.

Mia raised an eyebrow at Aurora's response.

" Mr. Thomas was the one to take me to the mall after our Mom, Helen, and I had an argument," Aurora explained to Mia.

Mia's chocolate brown eyes blinked as she stares at Aurora with a confused expression when she hears that her older twin sister, Aurora, and their mother, Helen, argued.

" Why did you and Mom argued?" Mia softly asked Aurora while still holding her pepper spray and keeping a careful eye on Benjamin.

Aurora akwardly stared at Mia since she didn't know how to explain to her younger twin sister that their mother is why the two never met.

" Look," Aurora lightly grabs Mia's arm as the two walked to the side so that they can talk while Benjamin turned to give them privacy and to make sure no one bothers them.

" What I am going to tell you may make you see our mom, Helen, differently," Aurora softly informs Mia.

Mia worriedly stared at Aurora.

Aurora then explains to Mia that Helen is why she and Phillipe got divorced and that the two never met since Helen strictly told Phillipe never to let Aurora know about her and Mia.

Mia silently stared at Aurora since she couldn't believe that Helen would do all of that. She knows she and Aurora met, but something in her heart tells her to believe her older twin sister.

Aurora worriedly stared at Mia, hoping that her younger twin sister would believe her. She is aware that the two met, but Mia is the only close relative she has left, and she doesn't want to be alone anymore.
