We entered what I thought looked like the nicest dress and tux store I've ever been to. "Cody..." I said looking at the price tag. "I'm not allowing you to buy these." I said.
"Honey, I'm rich." He said in a sass tone. I was hesitant at first, but soon picked out a few of the cheapest dresses they had.
"Navy blue short dress?" I asked, he shook his head.
"Red long dress?" "Nope."
"Black and white?" He shook his head.
Finally I came out with a short hot pink dress. His smile widened. "There's the one we've looked for." He said, giving me a hug. "What do you think of my suit?" He asked.
"I love- wait, your coming?" "I'm not leaving you out of my sight after what happened." He said referring to the bandage on my arm. "Fine, but you have to give me space when i ask for it. Deal?" "Deal."
...................
"Come one Ella, you look goo, why are you being nervous?" I whispered to myself. "Can I come in?" I heard Cody knock on the bathroom door. 'Yeah." I said unlocking the door.
He stood looking at me, "You look beautiful." He said placing his hands on my waist. "Thanks... And you look, dashing." I said smiling. "Why thank you my lady." He said bowing. Earning a giggle from me.
"We better start leaving, we don't want to be late to the party." Cody said, "Yeah...." I replied.
The whole way there I was focused on what people will think or ask when they see my arm bandage, "Ella. You look beautiful." Cody said. "It's not that...Its what people will think." I said.
"Ella-" "We both have english accents, and don't know anything about America, I am just nervous." I said fiddling with my curled hair. Cody stopped the car and turned to look at me.
"Ella, I bet you 100% that they won't care your from England. Yes, they will think your accent is pretty cool. But who doesn't?" Cody said. "Now, i want you to enjoy your night off with a long lost best friend of yours."
He said before turning back and heading to the place we are meeting Reese at.
..............
"Ella!" I heard Reese call out before giving me a small hug. "Lets get going!" He said, "Reese, i hope you don't mind but Cody is coming, he wanted to tag along." I said.
"Alright! The more the marrier!" He said before getting back into the limo he rented. "So what kind of party are we going to?" Cody asked.
"One were a lot of people will want to meet Ella and you." He said. This is going to be a busy night.
.........
"Reese!" I yelled over the music. "Ella! Stop your complaining! He'll be fine." Reese said. Cody had gotten sick for a unknown reason, he was fine all day, but now i was dancing with Reese.
The up beat music had stopped, "This is all to the lovley couples out here tonight!" The Dj said. Reese looked at me as the slow song started to play.
"Care to dance Ella?" Reese said extending his hand. I took it, "Sure, I'm sure one slow danc ewouldn't hurt Cody." I whispered. Reese quickly took me into his grasp as we danced to the slow song.
"Ella, I've missed you so much these past few years." Uh-Oh, what is Reese going to do. "And i have thought things over, and.... I wanted to know...." He pulled away and looked around at the crowd.
"If you'll be my girlfriend again?" He said looking at me with hopeful eyes. I looked around at the crowd which were aweing, and back at Reese. "I-" Do i still love Reese? He did break my heart. But should i say yes?
"Reese-I-I....." "Ella?" Reese looked at me his smile fading. "Reese, i'm sorry, you had your chance with this....But i'm in love with someone else." I said.
What I failed to notice, was that Cody was stanidng in the doorway of the party room. Watching the whole thing from far away.
.........
I turned to leave the party so i didn't have to look at my broken friend Reese. When Cody stopped me. "Ella...." "No! Don't touch me." I said. Before running off.
I heard two pairs of footsteps behind me, but I didn't care to look back. My back started to hurt after all the running I had done and stopped by a bench. "Ella, don't- ru-run." An out of breathe cody said. "Sorry."
I couldn't decide if I was gonna cry or if I was happy. "So, who- is this other person you-" I noticed Reese had followed Cody and I here. "Love?" He said confused. I gulped, "I can't tell you until the time comes." I said.
Cody looked broken along with Reese. He didn't know I was talking about him, of course I was though, I couldn't love anyone else as much as him.
"Can we go back to our hotel room?" I asked, "Yes, but Reese will have to drive us to our car." Cody said looking at him, Reese nodded slowly, "I'll take you." He said.
Our entire car ride back Reese was cracking jokes and talking about the latest video game he had been playing, classic him. I had zoned out about halfway through, thinking about Cody's concert tomorrow.
"Well, here's your car..." Reese trailed off. Cody had gotten out to get the car while Reese stayed with me at his.
"And Ella," I looked up at Reese, "Hmm-" I was cut off when I felt Reese's lips crash into mine. I pulled away as fast I as I could.
"Reese!" I yelled at him. "I don't love you! Why'd you kiss me!" His face was immediately a bright red. "I-I I don't know what came over me." He said slowly. "That's a load of crap!" I was now very angry at Reese.
I saw Cody pull up beside us I started walking to the car. Before I opened the passenger seat, I turned to Reese, "This is the last time you'll see me, I thought we could be friends, I guess I was wrong if all your going to do..."
I looked up and down. "That!" I gestured to the kiss. "Goodbye Reese!" I hissed before leaving Reese in his tracks.
........
"Ella? Please tell me what wrong?!" Cody begged. I shook my head again, "you'll be angry if I told you, just like I am." I said. "Does it involve Reese? If so please tell me!"
"Alright! If you want to know so badly! He kissed me! Alright!" I said having enough of him begging me. "And I got mad! See why I didn't want to tell you know!" I yelled.
"Why that-" I put my hand up. "Shut your mouth, I don't want to hear it. I'm going to bed." I said before storming off.
Cody's gonna be really pissed in the morning, he's probably really jealous Reese got a 'kiss' and he didn't.
