[ Hana's POV ] :

“And that will be 800 yen ma’am.” I said.  “Oh thank you so much”. The customer replied.

The lady walked out with the bouquet of red roses, wearing a really pretty red dress. I wondered where she’s going. Maybe she is going to meet her loved one. I hope it goes well for her. All these thoughts ran through my mind as I was re-arranging stuff to close my shop. It was almost 9 pm when my phone rang. I rushed to the phone, because, I predicted who it was. Of course it was him. The man I love, Ayato. Ichikawa Ayato.

I answered the phone.

“Oh that was quick. I thought you’d be busy and probably won’t be able to pick my call.” He said.

“Hahaha. No, I am done with work. I just closed the shop and I was heading home. Where are you though?” I said.

“Look over here.” He replied with an excitement in his voice.

Without saying a word back, I glanced across my surroundings. There he was, standing near his car, wearing a white shirt and navy blue pants. I ran towards him and he opened his arms wide enough for me to fit in.

He hugged me gently. I could feel his warmth. He smelled like lemon grass. It was soothing. I was at peace. The next thing I knew, He had his lips on my cheeks. He kissed me softly and whispered in my ears, “I missed you a lot.”

“I missed you too.” I replied.

We sat in his car and spoke about how our day went. We shared a lot of things. I looked at him while he spoke. I admired him in every way possible. I almost spoke out loud how much he meant to me.

We reached my apartment. I got out of the car and so did he. I thanked him for the ride home and said goodbye. As I was turned by back to walk inside the gate, He grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him. He kissed me on my lips and said, “I love you.”

I blushed, but with enough courage I said, “I-I love you too.”

Ayato hugged me laughed. I pushed him away gently, “Jeez now go home.” I said this filled with embarrassment. “Alright, alright. I’ll get going now. But not till you enter your apartment safely. Now go ahead.” He said.

He watched me from his car as I entered my house. I peeked at him from the front door. He smiled at me and left.
