(A/N - 1994 would be the golden trio's + Willow's third year)

- 12th of August 1994 -

As usual, Willow was trapped in her room; her parents would often lock her bedroom door in the evenings because people would come over - she wasn't sure who. But tonight in peculiar caught her attention, the bright, pink-tinted moon would shine as bright as the sun would; and the rays of light peered through her blinds. The moon interested Willow very much.

When she knew it was the right time, she would frantically slide her feet off her bed - without making much noise - and ambled over to her bathroom that was fortunately joined to her bedroom, she was happy about that. Once her routine had started and she was brushing her teeth, a smile would broaden upon her smooth-skinned face; she admired it as she didn't get to see it that often. She also had stunning eyes; the colour of the ocean, with a hint of green - implying it to be like seaweed.

*Brush-brush*

While sauntering back, she noticed a dark-feathered blob (for what she could make out) fluttering a small distance away from the house. Something else caught her eye too; a rectangle-looking shape that was the colour of parchment hanging below its steel-gray, bony claws. It came closer when it saw Willow slightly and slowly turning the handle of the window.

As the glass windowsill was pulled out, she could hear her parents chatting to a guest, she kept quiet as they talked to the stranger on the patio of their garden - it looked like a mini dark forest. Statues and plants and lights were spread about, even a little swing, but she was never allowed in there. She had an amazing bird's eye view of it. The dark-feathered 'blob' which was now visible as an Owl had came down and dropped a rather royal looking letter onto her dusty, dark wood floor; its cursive handwriting particularly wrote -

Ms. Willow Emerson

Pyxis road
Corvus

(A/N - It's not a real place lol, it just used the names of stars/ constellations)

It was strange for her to receive a letter like this, or even a single letter at all. Her ravishing eyes widened - leaning down to look at the parchment; but while her senses focused elsewhere, her window was still open and someone noticed.

"Hey- why's that window open?" Observed a mother-like woman, she had brown and blonde hair, brown eyes, and appeared much friendlier than her own mother. She starred up with a bewildered look. Her mother replied almost immediately with worry,
"Um, to keep the fresh air in of course.."

"I would have just thought you would have your windows closed, because of your fire. I just imagined you wanted keep it warm." The lady said confidently.
The father had a quite angry look on his face whilst looking up at the bedroom window.

"A- are you alright sir?" The mother could tell she was uncomfortable. "Should I-"

"No, it's ok. I think he just wants to shut it.. um-" sounded the concerned mother.

The father begun, "If you would excuse me" he said with a friendly smile. The vexed man strutted towards the very modern back door and turned the corner; his face turned stern and he marched up the stairs.

With the wind still flowing in, Willow got scared when she heard the loud, intimidating footsteps stomping up the stairs.

While her father was unlocking the door she had a few seconds to get up and hide the letter; the shining, silver, metal door handle was moving with anger and fury, he sounded the most frustrated he'd been in a while. She slipped the letter into one of her thin wooden drawers next to her bed and accidentally slammed it shut; it made quite a loud noise but she didn't have enough time to check if she could still open it, she just had to make it to her bed before she seemed suspicious of hiding something from her parents.

The door swung open and her father angrily went straight to the window and shut it calmly as if he had a quick mood change.

"No meals all day tomorrow!" He said that with pure rage while pointing at her with his stubby index finger, his frustration echoed and filled the house as the door rammed shut. Willow's beautiful ocean eyes welled up in tears.

She forgot all about the letter and fell asleep in her sorrows.

The next morning was a blur; it upset her that she remembered what her dad said to her though..
"No meals all day tomorrow!"
This kept running through her mind. She knew her father was strict, but he had only said that one other time, and she knew it was a bad thing.

Willow's pov

I'm glad my mother is different than my father, because she cares about me a lot more than he does. When he goes out to do something like shopping she always comes up to my room and we talk about things.

Anyway that day I didn't get to do much as always, and my mind was distracted with you probably know what; then hours past and it got to the next day.

It was only then when I remembered the letter...

(Normal pov)

Willow lifted her body up to then kneel down beside her dark-wooded, thin drawers. As the deep air flurries, surrounding her, the paleness of her skin reached its handle curiously, with her also thinking while questioning whether her memories ascribed to be true.

It stuck to its edges when her body suddenly had a wave of struggle. Her muscles tensed up as she attempted the challenge again, it didn't work; and for the final time that moment repeated, the drawer ripped out along with Willow herself plummeting on the hard floor with it laying on her chest.

The loud noise that rattled the furniture was sure to trigger her father; downstairs, he was sat at a small delicate table, drinking tea as if the man were royalty.

The beige envelope was sitting on top of her other belongings in the dark-wooden drawer, she snatched it from the pile and sat up and opened it gently, careful not to rip the brittle parchment.

She began to read the words from the letter that would change her life for the better...
