Hi guys! This is my first book and I really hope you enjoy it. I will try and update daily, but I can't promise anything. :3 See you guys later!
-----------------------------------
My high heels click on top of the train tracks, annoyed. "Are you finished yet?" I say, trying to show my aggravation besides hiding it. A voice responds a moment later. "Okay, you can turn around." I pivot and see Max there, adjusting her shirt one last time. "About time." I punch her on the arm and she smacks me lightly. "Hey, you might be comfortable undressing in front of people, but not me." I mimic her speech and she grins. "Come on, let's go. Time to go to James house. We're trying out his new car model." I nod and we start walking. James always gets the newest stuff. For crying out loud, the new Kia Soul he got has personalized emotions. We always go over to his house whenever we get bored. James house. House. My house. Shit! I stop in my tracks. Maxine looks back at me and stops too. "What is it now?" I look at her. "My dads gonna kill me!" Max's face goes white. "Ohmygosh I am so sorry!" I wave her off. "I better go. If he does kill me though, I'm leaving my hover board to you." Max grins. "In that case, what type of flowers do you want at your funeral?" I roll my eyes and dash off. I stop after the fifth block, in front of a small white house. Crap, the lights are on. So much for sneaking in. I unlock the door with the spare key and I'm faced with a shout. "Maya! What are you doing up so late?! I have been up since 12 waiting for you to get home!! I have six o'clock mass tomorrow!!!" I cross my arms and wait for him to catch his breath after his rant. "Daddy, I'm sorry. I didn't realize the time." I say in a sugary voice, trying to get on his good side. "It's ok honey. I shouldn't have over reacted." I smirk silently, glad for that advantage of being a preacher's daughter. I walk up stairs, change in boxers and my dad's baggy shirt and flop on my bed. I pull out my laptop and get on TOchat, happy to see Max's online. I am about to start a chat room with her and my other friends, but then I hear my dad's footsteps. I whisper to my laptop 'bed' and the lights turn off. I flop on my side, hide my laptop under my blanket, and pretend to be alseep . I hear my door creak open and my dad whispering a prayer. I roll my eyes, still pretending to be asleep. Finally, I finally here the door close, and I sit right back up. Now to start the group chat. Soon, all my friends start chatting. Kane starts. 'Hey losers.' I type back quickly. 'Not a bad start, let's spice it up.' Max sends the next message and the we talk all through the night.
I get up the next morning, and throw my laptop on my chair and my phone is blowing up with texts from Max. I sigh, start scrolling through them, and I cringe. I was supposed to meet them at the dump ten minutes ago. I get dressed, grab my hover board and phone, then hit the streets. I speed down the road, almost there but soon a corrections car is behind me. Crap. I slow to a stop and see a guy a little older than me climb out the car. I look him up and down as he starts lecturing me. "Mis, do you know how fast you were going?" I stare at him and nod. "Uh, yeah? Why wouldn't I?" He is obviously a little surprised at my answer, and starts fumbling with his notepad to write me up. I smirk, then walk over to him and slam him against the roof of his car. He gasps in pain and I lean down next to his ear. "Listen, you're gonna let me go and your not saying nothing to your little correction friends either. Got it?" The guy gasps, sputters a 'yes' and I let him go. "Thanks!" I giggle innocently at him and head on my way again. At least if he does tell, I'll know who did it.
I make it to the dump and Sam walks up to me, his blonde hair bouncing slightly. "What took you so long?" I roll my eyes "Run in with the corrections." Kane whistles "Someone got in trouble..." He taunts and I push him over, right into the scrap wood. All the plastic is gone, obviously for the dome. Kane whimpers mockingly. "Ow! You made me get a splinter." I chuckle and swivel around on my heels to see James and Max. James flips the hair out of his face and Max bounces up and down on her feet. "I can't believe you missed seeing James's car! It's so cool!" She squealed. I smile slightly. "I tried, but my dad might to something unholy to me." James grins at my joke and we walk out of the junk yard and head over to the end of the town. I touch the thick wall circling our town and look out of it, even though it is blurred since the wall is so thick. I find Sam leaning my the wall next to me and sighs. "Don't you wish you could go out there? I nod slightly, and try not to show longing. Max shakes her head. "I don't get you two. Why do you even want to go outside? I'm fine with my life how it is." I roll my eyes and reply. "You just don't get it. My mom died out there. I want to know how." Max waves me off. "Sounds like you just want to get yourself killed. It's literally a suicide mission." I roll my eyes and Sam waves her off. "I'm just curious. Maya's the crazy one." I punch him hard in the shoulder and he topples backward. Kane chuckles slightly and waves us forward. "Come on, the clubs open." We all grin and we follow him to James's new Kia.
James's pouts in the front seat since he isn't driving. Kane rolls his eyes. "Dude, I not gonna crash." He parks the car with a jolt and a automated voice says 'ow'. I grin at the voice and James yells "Sorry! I wasn't driving!" Max pulls James away from his precious car, and we walk into the the Warehouse. No, its not an actual warehouse, its a club. One of the mosts popular among teenagers too. We walk in, and disappear into the music and neon lights. -----------------------------
